Simple, plug it in, press the menu button until the light is over the item of your choice, adjust the timer with the plus and minus buttons, follow the water / amount directions on the guide they send with the machine for each type of food to cook, and it works perfect. Keeps your food hot too until you turn it off. Makes enough food for me to have for dinner with minimal leftovers for the next morning when I use the full 2 cups of beans / rice. Settings work well, any beans I’ve tried besides pinto and lentils though will need longer than the one hour recommended cooking time for beans. I have been able to make half brown rice and half lentils / pinto beans utilizing the 1 hour bean timer. This product is very exciting. I got one for my grandma. I wish the container inside was not nonstick and was instead stainless steel, I don’t like nonstick materials and the potential health risks — and I don’t think it’s necessary with the layout of this machine. However, it is a good machine and that is my only real point of contention. Makes things so easy. Perfect for someone working all the time or students. Very small and easy to store. Does not take up a ton of counter space. Make sure to let the machine breathe sometimes. I wipe the top area inside with vinegar and make sure to let it dry out. It can get very moist in there and there is a small vent I’m sure things could build up in. Read more

Love this brand. Makes rice cooking way easier. Easy to clean. Love the ceramic for food safety and cleaning and none sticking. I make sushi rice white rice. It does it all very not good quality. Multiple colors. Very fast. Make two cups of rice you get four cups of perfection. Ready to eat. It's light weight which is important for me as I can't move things heavy. So very portable. And I know the instructions say not to leave on warm mode for more than 2 hours. But I wanted to see what would happen. And that thing stayed on. For 11 hours and 52 minutes. I don't recommend that but I was a curious Beaver. And when I took that rice out of there. It was still good tasting little dry obviously but not bad that it stayed consistent. The buttons on top you have to push hard to work because there not really buttons it's just flat and hard so easy to wipe down but the buttons are a bit difficult to use in my opinion but still like it. But if they could fix that in future model would appreciate. Read more

I love this little thing, I've used it to cook mostly jasmine and basmati rice, but I've also added other ingredients with rice. For example, I like pineapple in with my rice, and sometimes carrots, peas, cashews, peppers, and other fruits and vegetables. This device cooks it all really well, provided you follow the measurement instructions and appropriate cook times. I was worried food would get stuck to the metal bowl inside, but so far the ceramic coating has held up and food does not get stuck to it. My only complaint is that when you open the lid the steam that collects on the metal plate under the lid will drip off on the plastic ledge below where the lid is hinged to the base. It's annoying and hard to clean up because the space is so narrow, but because the hole the metal bowl sits in is raised above the plastic ledge, the water is unlikely to run down inside where the heating coils are. All-in-all a good product that I'm glad to have and would purchase again for myself or anyone else. If I had more cabinet space I'd have bought a larger size. This size is good for one or two people. The media could not be loaded. I can see why people who never had rice cookers before will like it, but for Asians who have used other Japanese options preciously. It's horrible. Why did I want to switch? Only because I don't want microplastics in my rice and look for ceramic options. Problem is... Japanese ones with Teflon coating work so much better, even at the same price point! Pros: - It's cute. - That's it!!! Cons: - Start and Stop buttons are very insensitive. Requires many repetitions. - FALSE advertisement to call it 4-cup. The pot says very well 2 cup max on white rice and 1.5 cup on brown rice. Compare this with my existing 3-cup Tiger cooker. The pot is tiny. - Exterior case is large, about the same size as Tiger which cooks more. - Rice tastes horrible, like half cooked and hard. It does not produce enough heat, steam or pressure to thoroughly cook the rice. Even my cheapest Zojirushi and Tiger models taste many times better. - Smaller problem, but the button to open lid isn't easy to use, and feels filmsy. Didn't want to eat microplastic rice before I tried this one; now I may want to eat microplastic rice instead... Read more
