I've always been a fan of Japanese matcha powders, but recently I've been experiencing caffeine shocks, so I was on the hunt for a matcha with lower caffeine content. This one popped up at the top of my search results. As a Korean living in the US, I know that Korean green tea leaves are famous, and seeing that this one originates from Jeju Island made it an instant choice for me. First off, the powder is extremely fine and dissolves well in water. Maybe it's because it's decaffeinated, but there's hardly any bitterness, and although the packaging states that it's sugar-free, it somehow tastes a bit sweeter. Perhaps it's the quality of the Korean matcha leaves. I've been drinking it every morning, and unlike when I used to drink coffee or other types of matcha on an empty stomach, which gave me anxiety, this GRIN MOOD low-caffeine matcha doesn't stress my body at all. I've been telling everyone I know about it and really can't recommend it enough. Truly a top notch choice for anyone looking for a high quality, gentle matcha! Read more

The picture and description say it’s “decaffeinated”, but the product I received had “naturally low caffeine” printed on it. Otherwise, the product is good. Read more

Deceptive advertising! Not decaffeinated as advertised. Caffeine causes atrial fibrillation in me. This is DANGEROUS and misleading. And NOT RETURNABLE! Even unopened in original packaging. Very expensive TRASH. Read more

I’m super sensitive to caffeine especially now being pregnant but I LOVE matcha. My friend turned me on to this and I have an iced matcha literally daily. This will be in my rotation of daily rituals for sure. It blends easy, there’s plenty in the bag and the taste is really yummy. I have worked with Matcha companies in the past and tried probably 30 different matcha brands so the quality is incredible and it’s comparable in price to ceremonial grade matcha with caffeine. Could probably use this for a whole month based on amount in the size of the bag. Read more

The package shows a serving size of 1 g (1/4 teaspoon) but not a recommended liquid amount for Matcha Tea. Most matcha's show 2 g per 8-ounce cup of water. The package contains 100 g so using that ratio the package contains 50 servings, not 100 as shown on the package. Also, I ordered this on February 6, and it was received on March 20th (42 days); much slower than originally promised. Read more

Great tasting decaf/low-caf matcha powder. Quality is excellent, and the price is very reasonable per gram. Plus, I have much more confidence in the safety of this product, compared to some others that are a bit sketchy about the origin of the tea and where it is packaged. This is my new go-to matcha!
