This works must faster and more efficiently than the traditional electric hair clippers that I've been using for years to shave my head. Added benefits: there's no mess as the hair clippings are contained inside the handheld unit until you open it and rinse it out; I no longer need to hang over the bathtub when shaving to prevent the clippings from getting all over my floor. It does work better, however, if you don't let the hair get too long before you shave it off. With traditional clippers I could go longer between shavings (1.5 to 2 weeks), but with the Groomie I need to do it about once a week now, which isn't a big deal, and this does let it look neat and trimmed all the time now instead of reaching the untamed look. Super easy cleaning. Tried the other type of flip top shavers and they just get gunked up over time. The magnetic blade cartridge on this device slips on and off super easy. The hair reservoir is pretty roomy and able to capture a bit longer hair for when one forgets to trim the scalp sometimes. Even so, emptying and continuing to shave down scalp two or three times is still easy and the good battery life is noticeable. If you buy a travel case for this shaver your set is complete. The grooming products look like good size packages in the pics, but the pre-shave oil is 1oz and the shave gel and moisturizer are 2 oz each. While the shave gel works well and only requires a minute spray, the kit is not worth the money. 10,000 rpm? It certainly doesn’t sound like it’s spinning that fast. I think this shaver over-promises and under-delivers. I’d adjust your expectations if you decide to buy it. The shave heads do a good job of moving over the skin smoothly. It is definitely easy to clean and the magnets are strong enough to hold the heads in place when in use. Read more
