Oral health probiotic supplement
I've used almost a whole bottle of these chewable probiotic supplements and look forward to my upcoming dental appointment to hear what my hygienist has to say. If there's anything notable, I'll add it to my review. The tablets are fairly small with a slightly sweet flavor, but they're really chalky and grainy--somewhat like calcium, only more so (hard to describe). I can't call it pleasurable, but it's not terrible, either, and I'm using its texture to my advantage by flossing after I crunch one up, and before brushing. That way, I figure I'm distributing the probiotics all over and in between my teeth, as well as getting them into my system with the amount I end up swallowing. Instructions for use were covered by a large sticker, so I winged it, but I gather I was supposed to dissolve them in my mouth post brushing. Oh well. I ordered a bottle of 60 but only received a bottle of 30. Don't know what that's all about. Read more

Chalky
I tried taking this at night after my regular oral hygiene routine so the probiotics could sit in my mouth while I sleep, you do have to chew them up. I didn't notice much difference. The taste isn't good or bad but the texture is pretty chalky. Read more
Do not swallow these - chew them!
I noticed another reviewer said that she didn’t get any results from this, but that they were also difficult to swallow. You’re not supposed to swallow these - they are chewable and the act of chewing it is what allows the probiotics to seed in the mouth and gums. Overall, these are really easy to take. They taste fine, just a bit chalky. My gums seem noticeably less inflamed, so I’m happy with the product. Read more
Excellent strains of probiotics, shelf stable, and tablets dissolve in the mouth
This GumAktiv probiotic formula contains strains that are especially beneficial for oral health. The bottle contains 60 tablets for $30, and at one per day will last two months. The product is made in the USA (although it doesn't list the location) and the facility is GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certified. The probiotic strains must be shelf-stable since they don't need to be refrigerated. The tablets dissolve in the mouth and the taste is ok, but not great. The flavoring is strawberry with peppermint oil. I think straight peppermint would be better! Nature's NutriWave is actually the distributor, not the manufacturer. They have a website with many products available by different manufacturers. For the sake of transparency, I would like to know where the product is manufactured and if the ingredients are sourced domestically and globally. I recommend this! Thank you. Read more
