What I LIKE: *A complete starter kit to get you in the habit even including a toothbrush cover:) Why I bought this: I used to do oil pulling when I had more time during the pandemic and loved the results. I’ve since gotten busy and stopped, but lately I’ve noticed plaque and I’m scared a cavity:( I used to use regular virgin coconut oil and add essential oils to it, but this seemed like such a nice all in one kit to get me back into the habit. I also misplaced my tongue scraper, and this comes with one. The way I plan to use it as recommended by any Ayurvedic blog or Pinterest account: 1.oil pulling in the mornings on unbrushed teeth 2. Follow with tongue scraping 3 brush my teeth with a homemade toothpaste powder. 🦷🪥I guess any toothpaste would work but I use this approximate recipe because it’s super easy to make, CHEAP! way cheaper than natural pastes that almost always contain fillers and stevia etc., allows me to play with flavor and ingredients based on my needs that week or however big a batch I make.) *equal parts Redmond’s Bentonite Clay *and Himalayan or Redmond’s Real Salt *a generous pinch of clove *and cinnamon powders(if u don’t have powder, use those essential oils) *and then several drops of whatever eo. I definitely like to add a few drops of FENNEL eo because it adds natural sweetness and freshens breath without adding sugar or stevia. Peppermint, citrus, and oregano are other good options to include. Theives already contains the clove and cinnamon.) 📸 I will edit this review with pictures once I have used the product for a while. But in the past, I have noticed visible whitening plaque removal and cavity healing using these methods and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the practice of oil pulling and getting away from mainstream/fluoride toothpaste! What I DON’T like about Guru Nanda pulling oil: *It contains Stevia which is heavily processed and unnecessary to me. For this reason I am not sure if I’ll continue purchasing or not? Like I said the nice thing about this kit is it’s a complete starter kit to get you into the good habit. This came recommend by my dental hygentist because of the bleeding I was experiencing when flossing. My teeth are very healthy and I've never had a cavity even at 43! I brush and floss daily but was still starting to have issues with gum sensitivity and bleeding around certain teeth when I would floss. I used this 5 times and by the 6th time flossing I had no blood! It's very healing. I will say it can get a little tiring to swoosh it around for so long. I started at 2 mins and eventually got to 3 mins. They say to try to go from 2 mins to 10. I doubt I'll ever get to 10 or anywhere near it. Just be sure to read directions and brush after you swoosh it. I swoosh with this, then brush, then floss, and finally rinse with some warm water. I'll keep buying! This is a game changer for your gums. You will save so much money at the dentist. My gums were receding and I decided to try this mouthwash out to see if it will help it improve. I went to the dentist 6 months later and they were mind blown about my gums, asking me what I was doing differently and how did they look so good. I liked the product and have been using it for last few months. They kept raising price and now then even changed their packaging so they don't provide with a measuring cap and the lid itself can be used which is huge so you end up pouring more and it also makes a mess. Product is good but the company is using cheap tricks to make their products sell more by not providing a measuring cap so the consumer end up using more in a huge lid which also results in wasteage and a mess. I have cancelled my subscription and will look for an alternative option. Read more
