Appropriate for many occasions from casual to more formal depending on how it's styled and accessorized. The fabric is the perfect weight to skim the body without clinging too much. It drapes in a lovely manner, creating an elegant silhouette. It's not structured by any means--it's not quite a sheath as it doesn't have a defined waist, but it's not a shift dress either--something in between. While there is a little stretch to the fabric (especially helpful for me since my shoulders are rather broad), it's not so much that the dress will stretch out of shape. I also like that the thickness of the fabric does away with having to wear a slip underneath as the dress is completely opaque. I'm usually not a fan of logos or branding on my clothes, but I actually don't mind the H accents on the pockets (that are snaps that open and close the front pockets) as it's not garish or too obtrusive. I ordered this in a size 10. I'm currently between a 10 and 12 and ordered down since I am actively exercising and losing weight. 10 is the correct size for me - 12 would be too baggy and frumpy. Sleeve length is great - I have long arms and this hits where I need it to. Pretty modest - the scoop neck just shows some collarbone. The length is above the knee, but not wildly above on me (5'6"), so I could wear it with some tights and be fine for most occasions. I personally don't love this style on me, but it is well made and is a nice material. I want a little more shape built in without having to accessorize with belts to make it flatter my figure. Our teen is firmly out of her dress and skirt wearing phases. Part of that is she has a hard time finding things that she likes the feel of that fit well. At just over 5foot7inches and around 125 pounds with a shorter torso, everything comes up too high on the legs and necklines show more than she is interested in displaying. Despite saying 'scoop neck' this is a very high cut neckline that makes her very comfortable. She loves the pockets with their snap H closures, she loves the length which is almost to her knees, and it is a nice silhouette for her body shape and age. I got this for my fiance. I like the style in general, minus the metal "H" logos that hang on the sides. Also seems like the style is meant to have a clean/structured look, but the material isn't actually very structured Otherwise, I like the simple silhouette and the fact that it has long sleeves. This is a nice quality dress that has pockets with a button closure. The metal H logo on the pockets is a bit overwhelming. The dress was very comfortable to wear. This is an excellent quality, high end dress. The fabric is a substantial weight, but not so heavy that it is uncomfortable. This can be dressed up with jewelry or other accessories or dressed down for more casual occasions but, wherever it is worn, the quality and style is obvious. This dress is very comfortable and fits really well. I’m 5’3 and about 130lbs with a 27 inch waist and about 38 inch hips. The size 6 works for me. The sleeves actually fall just right. This dress could work as a fall/winter dress if worn with some tights. The hardware is attached well and the pockets function as real pockets with a snap. I am 5 foot five and 147 pounds wearing a size small. This is more of a loose fitting dress, not super tight, allowing some space for your body.
