We have a long toothbrush for our seven month old daughter but it's much more difficult to use to "brush" her teeth with because of the size and the fact that a seven month old isn't always a super willing, tolerant subject. With this toothbrush, she was much less bothered by our gentle passing over of her *two* teeth. I think this is a great product to expose your child early on to tooth brushing, and she also seemed to like the gum stimulation for relief from teething. Purchased this to keep in my diaper bag once baby started solid at 6 months. The brush worked fine on the go, but would not be my preference for everyday use and consistent brushing.
