I loved how quickly the curler heated up. It took like no time for it to reach the set temperature and for us to start curling hair. I also liked how the heating element is contained so it reduces burning fingers when prepping hair for curling, and I don't have to worry about burning any surfaces when I need to set the curler down. The mechanized curling element made it super easy to curl hair without a lot of maneuvering. The instructions for this curler are not the best. We used it to try and curl our daughter's hair and we inserted the end of the hair into the curler so it didn't pick up the strands. After finding a YouTube video, it was much easier to figure out how to use the curler. I also noticed the picture in the instructions had it more in the middle of the strand and tried it that way and got the curler to pick up the strands to curl. It was hard to gauge what safe temperature to use to curl hair. The recommended temperature setting for our hair type made our hair burn and smoke. We turned it down to lowest setting and the curler still managed to curl our hair. I wish there were more temperature options as it felt like the preset ones on the curler might be too hot. It does take some experimenting to get the hair to curl how I wanted it - loose vs. tighter curls. Overall, this product works well for the price. I would recommend this curling tool but caution that there is a learning curve to using it properly. Read more

I absolutely love this curler. The instructions make everything clear. It's so easy to use especially once you get the hang of it. Might need a few tries to figure out which temperature and timer settings are best. As someone who has rather straight thick hair it gives amazing curls with no issues. After the first few curls I was so impressed. It heats up very quickly. Doesn't burn head or hair. Nice long rotating cord for easy movement around the head. Handle isn't too thick, comfortable to hold. It's definitely worth the cost. Very much recommended. The only thing against it is that it's completely round with no stand so that when you lay it down for a minute, to prep the next bit of hair, it rolls around and won't stay in the position you set it down. I have Lupus and fibromyalgia. I don't have a lot of time to spend on trying to get myself ready, and I'm physically limited to what I can do. This curling iron really made it 1000% easier. I wish it was easier to lay the hair in before it's grabbed, but it's cheap and works great. Has different temperatures, you can adjust the timing, and rotates both ways. Even though it curls very nice, the smell while you're curling your hair is HORRID. You can smell it from outside of the room (it doesn't smell like the typical burning), and it smells like burning garbage and plastic. It's a shame because its a very great product, I just can't stand the smell. Read more
