I really wanted to love this product.. it just misses the mark in so many ways. First and foremost, yes, the jewels do look cute in the kids’ hair. That’s about the only positive I can say. I decided to invest (yes invest, this is ridiculously expensive for what it is) in this product as Christmas gifts for the young girls in our family this year. Saw lots of ads on TikTok etc. This has been sadly disappointing.. It’s very hard for kids to load on their own. Every time they need it reloaded they need an adult to do it for them. Now, I don’t mind helping, but once I’m not around who knows if their parents will actually help or understand how to do it. The refill tubes are hard to open and the jewels are hard to get out of them. The picture on the box shows multiple colors on one head of hair, so it was disappointing to see that the colors come in singular colors in each tube. Again, I don’t mind that, but the girls were disappointed. I get the company does that so their customers go through tons of refill tubes… (which you will, because if you want any more than one color at a time you have to go through the entire tube). *You’re not able to change it halfway through because they are all stuck together. Which brings me to the cost of the refills. $20+ after tax per refill box! Insane considering they are probably cents to make. The final straw for me was when the flimsy spring that has to be smushed in (and takes a decent amount of coordination to do, especially for kids) got stretched out at the hands of my kid and now it doesn’t fit back in. So, now I have tons of refill tubes that were costly and no working pen to use them with. I refuse to purchase another one. Hindsight is 20/20 for me. I tried to invest in what I thought was a nice quality product when I should’ve tried the cheap alternative first. Save your money mamas! Read more
I wanted to love this but find that the gems do not stay on the hair. We have tried applying the gems on both clean and second-day hair. We have tried applying a bit of hair product to the hair and letting it dry before applying the gems. We have tried applying a light hairspray after applying the gems. It seems no matter what we do within an hour they are falling off. The stamper tool itself is very easy to load and use, and functions as expected. The variety of gems included is nice. I feel the price point is a little high if the gems aren't going to stay put. Read more
