This is a nice hair product, it came as described and works well. It does not have much of a scent to it. It can be applied to damp or dry hair, but I would encourage using it on dry hair only. It leaves quite a noticable residue in the hair, it washes out easily but in the meantime it doesn't feel great to touch the hair where it's applied and it transfers a dry stickiness to the fingers/hand after touching it or the hair it's applied to. This product should be applied close to the root, it creates a dry but tacky/sticky texture that helps keep the hair lifted thereby creating volume. The hair becomes friction-ey, losing all silkiness where it's applied. I've got a love/hate relationship with this product. It performs well but it's at the expense of being able to run your fingers through your hair. It does not add shine, if anything it dulls the appearance of shine. This product is marketed towards men, I anticipated a masculine scent, but I barely detected any scent and either way, this product can be used by. . . Anyone! For the ladies and little girls, this is a great product to use to help keep bobby pins in place- it's a great product for very fine hair. I'm tempted to leave only 4 stars because I'm not a fan of how it feels to the touch, but I'm leaving five because it's as described, it seems like good quality, and it does what it's supposed to do! I got this hair styling powder for my son. The packaging is nice but the bottle itself is much smaller than expected. It works as described and is unscented. It’s easy to use, just a little shake onto dry or damp hair and work it in. You don’t have to use a lot and a little bit does go a long way. My son has fine straight hair and it usually looks pretty limp. This hair powder is a great add on to his daily hair routine. It made my son’s hair have noticeably more volume and texture without leaving a greasy residue. It held up well throughout the day and feels high quality. I've used a lot of hair products over my lifetime, and I'm 58 now. I have used a gels, mousse, and others, depending on my mood. This product is really great for me, especially because it dries my hair and lets me style it all at once, and shows my salt and pepper hair very nicely. It is so easy to use right after my shower, and makes my hair look great. It holds my hair better than a lot of hair sprays, and is only sticky when it gets wet. It may seem a bit expensive, but if you compare it to how much the gel costs, and how long it lasts, this powder is a great value.
