I usually use a mousse to add body to my very flat, thin hair. The first time I used this, I used way too much (about 5 or 6 pumps) on my hair because it didn't seem like much - that was a mistake - I couldn't even get my brush through the hair after that. I got smarter and tried using only a pump or 2 max into my hand and then working it into my hair. It did add body and thickness as promised. I think the mousse still adds more volume but I can see where there are times that I would opt for this over the mousse (particularly when traveling just for size and convenience). I will likely continue to use this product but it will not fully replace other that I use. Read more

Be prepared because you will definitely have texture and volume! If that's what you're looking for, you've found the perfect product. I only put a tiny bit at my roots and it gave me more lift than I've ever had with any other hair product. The volume held through heat and humidity as well which is something I haven't experienced before. For people needing volume, I think this is a great purchase. I received a free sample of this product as a promotion by the manufacturer, having used their shampoo for the last several years. This isn't normally something I would buy or use since my hair is fine and tends to get bogged down by product... I was actually really impressed with how well it holds and keeps volume.
