Time in a Can (But at What Cost?!) 🌴
As an islander and devoted disciple of the Sun Bum cult (I’ve got the sunscreen, the lip balm, the after-sun, the dog shampoo—don’t judge me), I was pumped to try the Dry Texture Spray. One spray and boom—I’m mentally on a hammock with a cold piña colada, waves crashing, zero worries and sand everywhere but my hair. The scent? Pure beachy magic. Like someone bottled up coconut daydreams and SPF flirtation and told you to strut around like you own a surfboard (even if your board is just a hotel ironing board). It holds like a gentle island breeze with enough texture and volume without going full tropical storm. BUT. This can? Tiny. Like, “island souvenir shot glass” tiny. I sprayed it twice and had to double-check I didn’t accidentally buy a travel-size tester from someone’s carry-on. For this price, I thought maybe I was also getting a playlist, a shell necklace and a flirtatious beach bartender named Kai. Nope. Just the spray. Still love it. Still using it. But unless Sun Bum starts growing these cans on coconut trees and dropping the price, I’m gonna have to ration it like sunscreen on the last day of a cruise. Smells like a tropical vacation, works like a charm, priced like a beachfront margarita. You’ll love it, but your wallet might sweat a little. Read more
