I ordered the "dark brown" and it goes well with my hair dye: L'Oreal Paris Excellence Crème Permanent Hair Dye, 4 Dark Brown. This is super easy to apply, and it is great for those pesky whites at the front. Why didn't I know about this before?! (First, I was (incorrectly) sent "brown", which was way too light, but they replaced it quickly. ) Read more

Got this to cover the thinning scalp areas and the grey that grows in at the part. My hair is highlighted and light over the light brown. It goes on without looking like powder on my scalp and covers and blends at the hairline. Blends in well on the lighter highlights as well. Stays on all day and does what I want it too without being noticeable even with brushing. This is my favorite of all I’ve tried. Read more

I actually use it for my eyebrows. I think it's good for what I use it for. I wanted it for when my hair grows out and I don't feel like coloring it immediately. It doesn't cover the grey hair, it's just compact black powder. I don't think it would look good around the hairline either because it comes out very dark. Which is perfect for my eyebrows. It smudges too. If you put that all over your hair and then it rains, yikes. Read more
The color matched my hair perfectly and stayed on until I washed it out. The sponge applicator worked much better than the 'paint brush' style that came with another brand - easier and much faster to apply. One thing to keep in mind, this is powder so the product is not shiny, but rather dull once applied. If your grow-out is 1/2" or less, I absolutely recommend this root coverage. I also like the container that stores the applicator in the bottom and has an attached snap-open lid. I wish there were more product in the container. I would buy this again. Read more
Definitely effective for in between hair appointments or filling in spots that are more thin, but beware, this stuff comes off on your pillow, as well as your fingers and hands if you touch your hair. Read more
