HALO BassiNest Protective Waterproof Cover for Bassinet Pad White

I got this pad for a bassinest swivel 3.0. Before washing it fit over the mattress pretty well, perhaps slightly too big. After washing and drying it fits perfectly. The sheet that came with the bassinest fits over the pad, but it’s a tight fit. There is a small amount of extra padding, but it seems safe. The mattress + pad + sheet is level in the bassinest without bunching up. I do see a lot of complaints about the size of this waterproof pad. I’m wondering if they didn’t wash and dry it. Read more

This protects the mattress nicely and adds just a slight but safe amount more of cushion to it, which is nice because the mattress itself is extra thin. With the sheet over this is it makes cleaning any spit up or diaper leaks easier and doesn’t get on the mattress itself. Read more

I ordered this as a back-up cover for the original bassinet mattress pad because it would have been pricey to get a second set of Halo's breathable mattress pad/cover. In the first couple weeks of our very little one's life we were struggling with leaking diapers multiple times a night due to his lean size and needed extra covers to swap out before we could run another load of laundry. This cover is certainly an improvement overall to the basic cover that is included with the bassinet: it is thicker, softer to the touch, and adequately waterproof to protect the inner pad against all manner of leaks. Our baby sleeps just as well on the combination of original pad and this cover as the breathable pad and cover. My only complaint is that hair, fur (inevitable in a cat household), etc. stick frequently to this cover's material and are not as easy to brush off compared to the original, basic cover. All in all, this has worked for us as a satisfactory back-up in our times of need. Read more
