I've had an older version (seen in photos) for about 4-5 years. It was gifted to me and proven itself to be reliable. I haven't had to jump start my own vehicle but I've jump started a few strangers cars and topped off numerous tires. It holds a charge extremely well: I brought it in today and the battery was at 97% even though I haven't charged it in about two years (and topped off two tires). This one is for my wife's car. There are less expensive ones out there, but HALO has shown its reliability and I see no reason to take a chance when I've got a winner already. AND THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE ON THE BAG! Got my boyfriend one of the higher priced models of this because he drives a lot, decided to get myself this model to inflate a tire on my car that Ihave to top off every 3 weeks or so. Works well. There was a learning curve for me to get to the psi measure, so I overinflated that tire, let out the excess air, then finally got it right. Really cool that the device shuts off when set pressure is reached. Now I don’t have to babysit the device and keep taking it off to use a gauge to check whether I’ve hit the target pressure. It comes with a bunch of different tips for inflating a variety of things. It can also charge phones. This would be great on a camping trip… I could inflate an air mattress and charge my phone and other small devices. Hope I never need to jump my battery, but nice to know the Halo Bolt can do that, if it has a full charge. Not sure about durability, since I’ve only used the unit once or twice, but it seems like with proper care, it will last quite a while. Read more
