I am more impressed with this mixer than I thought I would be. I do not care for wire beaters, but it is hard to find the traditional beaters of old. I do like the fact that it has a turbo button. I push it at times just for fun... I know that is silly but it is just a cool feature. The neat thing about it is the faster the speed you are on the faster the turbo button goes. I also like the fact there are little pictures on the bottom of which beater goes in which hole. I always struggled with trying to figure out which one goes where. Now I just look at the little picture beside the hole. Pretty neat idea I think. The first couple times I ejected the beater they seem to stick a wee bit. Now this last time they came right out. Maybe it just had to get loosened up a little, or maybe I wasn't afraid to pull the button harder this time. I Like the fact it is under the handle, no chance of ejecting them while mixing, unless you move your hand around, which I don't. As for the speeds, I know some have had a hard time finding a mixer that did not spray out over the bowl. I have not found this to be an issue on the lowest setting, in fact I have even lifted the beaters out of what I am beating to clean them off some, with no issues. Now I will say the beaters seem a little short, meaning the mixer sits down in the bowl more than I am used to, but it has not caused any issues so far. As for the snap on case, well I don't use it. Just couldn't quite get the hang of that one.. So I just store the extra beaters in it.. It was just too much messing around for me, some might like it. Doesn't take away from the mixer itself..I am usually in a hurry and don't want to mess trying to fit it on top. I would have to say I like it a lot so far, the beaters are better than my last wire beaters, thus the reason I was trying to stay away from them. These seem to be okay though. Guess it's the new thing. They are easier to clean than the old traditional ones. November 16, 2014 - UPDATE; Well I have used this mixer a little more by this time - I would like to add a bit to my review. I have found that the mixer will bog down when up under stress - such as mixing Zucchini cake or bread. Even with the turbo button I cam smell it getting hot. Not sure what to make of this at this point. I still really like the mixer and I do hope it holds up but I am having second thoughts on that. I will keep you posted in a few more months. Read more

I bought this thing a while ago, after I had once decided I wanted to bake something and wound up spending a half hour mixing the ingredients by hand and still couldn't get all the lumps out. It sat in my cupboard out of the way, occasionally coming out to make a sauce, smooth a better or whip some cream. Anyway, today, my son asked for crepes. I pulled it out and realized I had not written a review on it yet, so spent sometime thinking about when I have used this thing, while I lazily mixed the batter. If I were doing it by hand I probably would have had more time to recollect, as it was the batter only took a couple of minutes to finish, so I barely had time to think about what I was doing let alone daydream about the sauces of days past. Well, this thing comes in quite handy for the home chef. I don't do enough baking to justify a stand mixer, so I got this little guy, because of how easy it is to keep everything stored together. I am a big fan of the pulse function. I plan to write it into my book of sauce recipes, I think it sounds like a secret move in a video game that unleashes magical powers, the pulse takes your sauce making and baking to a higher level. Okay, maybe not, but what a gimmick huh? Anyway, good mixer, great price. Read more

I purchased this on the 18th and it didn't even ship until the 26th. While the actual shipping was fast, I was very disappointed to have to wait over a week for it to even be on its way to me. I purchased this with the intention of being able to use it for a specific occasion and was unable to do so. Once it was received, the box was in extremely poor condition. Multiple holes in the box of varying sizes. I was convinced I would be missing pieces so opened it while still in the post office. Thankfully everything was there and surprisingly nothing inside was damaged. However, it is worth noting that the top of the box with the opening wasn't even secured with tape. Anyone at any point could have opened it to remove the items while it was in transit. I am surprised that it did not break open, though I suspect it came close. As for the mixer itself, I love it. The color is beautiful, it has plenty of power and is easy to keep everything together with its storage case. I purchased this with the main intention of making bread. The dough hooks work perfectly and I have made several loaves successfully. I am impressed with the dough hooks and how well they work. Clean up us easy, nothing has tarnished as of yet. Overall I am very pleased with this mixer. Theread are two reasons it didn't receive 5 stars: the first reason being the fact that it took so very long to even be sent. The second because of the condition of the packaging. Read more
