I first became familiar with Hammer Stahl, when Food and Wine magazine had a special on the santoku knife for $25. Although, I had a Wustof set, that knife quickly became my favorite. Since then, about 8 years ago, I had been wanting the full set. Hammer Stahl would have it on sale each year around Christmas for 1/2 off. I finally purchased it at Christmas. I absolutely love these knives. The craftsmanship is impeccable. I have small hands and ergonomically, these are easy for me to handle.
