My son is 3 years old and in between a size 3T and 4T. These fit perfectly. The are comfortable for him. He loves them and prefers these over some others that were purchased (briefs/boxer). He likes the stylish look which helped with potty training. They are good with small leaks; they are not fully leak resistant if child wets them self. These were truly a help with potty training. These Hanes potty trainer underwear have been a game-changer for our little guy! They fit true to size (we got the size for my 3-year-old), and the soft cotton fabric feels gentle on his skin. I am leaving this review for anybody else who might be looking at these for this purpose : Son grabbing himself! I purchased these underwear because my 4 year old has a hard time not grabbing himself. I hoped the extra padding would decrease the sensation. Unfortunately they do not work for that purpose BUT these are great underwear. Very stylish and comfortable. They would function great for a small accident. Color and fabric are great quality. These have been perfect for potty training. They’re soft, comfy, and thick enough to handle little accidents without feeling like a diaper. The prints are cute and my toddler actually likes choosing which pair to wear. They wash well and don’t shrink. Definitely a win. Read more

These were a game changer potty training my son. He had been using pull-ups like diapers for months. He knew how to use the potty, but had no motivation to actually make the switch to using it full time. I bought these undies for him hoping it would feel different enough to trigger him to make that change. It totally worked! He loved the tractors and cars on some of them and was happy to have “big boy underwear”. I think they do fit a little large around the legs especially, so I would order a size smaller than you think you need, but even being a bit gappy around the legs, they worked well enough and absorbed most of any accidents my son had, which were surprisingly few.
