These pants are perfect for lounging. I purchased over 8 pairs for a friend who needed time in a rehabilitation center after a hospital stay. The material is soft, lightweight, yet durable. They wash very well with little shrinkage. The adjustable draw-string waist makes them especially nice, so one can tighten or loosen the waist as needed. No tight banding at the ankle was a huge request by my friend. And the side pockets make it easy to slip in a cell phone or hankies. The best part of the pants is the price...$8.99 for a pair of light steel or charcoal heather colored lounge pants. The navy and black colored lounge pants are more expensive, but the grey colors worked fine for my friend. If you need to purchase a large quantity of lounge pants for someone going into a rehabilitation or an assisted living facility, these lounge pants will save you a lot of money without sacrificing quality. (Review of: Hanes Essentials Sweatpants, Men’s Cotton Jersey Pants with Pockets, 33”, Black, Large) I put a lot of thought into buying some comfy pants/sweats, lounge ware, & have looked for several months. I have been looking a long time for 100% Cotton, AFFORDABLE, Thin, Breathable, Sweat pants. I seem to be allergic to polyester & most other current sweat pants for sale are made of polyester. Burns my skin after a short while & Expensive! I'm older, disabled and spent a lot of my time laying down and I need comfy pants. I purchased 2 pairs of Black. They came yesterday and I put them both on for fit & to see if they were identical. I am 215 Pounds, 6 ft tall. I ordered Large. They are an inch too long for me but will shrink in length (according to feedbacks). They are slightly baggy, again shrinkage from washing will tighten up the bagginess. They are a little, (just a little) stiff & rough because I have not washed them yet. Then they should fluff & puff & get softer, (again according to feedbacks). I plan to wash them in Cold Water, Dry only till VERY damp & then I will hang them by the cuffs, pant leg bottoms with a double clip on a hanger to finish drying, using gravity to keep the length & control over shrinkage. NO BLEACH! Cotton takes a little care but is superior,(for me). I liked the 2 new pairs of Hanes 100% Cotton sweat pants I just received. So I just ordered 3 more, in other colors. The only negative I see is the butt area is a little tight at 1st. Wearing, washing & stretch the Cotton to fit your body. The pants seem to be well made. I like how much better they breath, but that's Cotton! Read more

Average mens sweatpants. They are not too heavy, seem to fit my husband well and true to size. Pockets are always a plus. Light weight so they are not too warm but we were not looking for warmth. Read more

Good cotton, comfortable. Long so shrinkage will not ruin. Legs do not snap on to ankles. Some like this and other do not. I like since it is fast to take off but admit that it can slide up in the bed. Thin enough not to make me too hot at night but warm during the day in winter. Pockets are not very deep but don't bulk up too much. Sometimes I put one hand in there when I am sleeping to steady my arm - it works! I got a larger size to make sure it won't shrink and don't feel the stretch when I sleep - but this means it can slide down during the day. Read more

The Hanes Men's Essentials Jersey Sweatpants are a staple for anyone prioritizing softness and affordability in their loungewear. These pants feel like a well-worn t-shirt for your legs, making them perfect for sleeping or a lazy Sunday. However, for the 6'3" male, the fixed 32-inch inseam presents a significant "high-water" challenge. Comfort and Quality Jersey Cotton Softness: The lightweight jersey fabric is breathable and stays comfortable throughout the night without overheating. Functional Pockets: Unlike many basic lounge pants, these include deep side pockets that actually hold a phone or wallet securely. Easy Maintenance: They hold up well in the wash, though they may experience slight shrinking if dried on high heat, which can exacerbate the length issue for taller users. The Length Limitation For a 6'3" frame, a 32-inch inseam generally stops well above the ankle. While the elastic waistband and drawstring allow for a customizable fit at the waist, there is simply no extra fabric at the hem to accommodate longer legs. If you prefer your sweats to bunch slightly at the shoe or cover your ankles fully, these will likely feel too short. Final Verdict These are excellent value pants for standard-height men or those who don't mind a cropped look for indoor lounging. If you are 6'3", you'll love the comfy feel, but you will definitely notice the missing inches at the bottom. Read more

Nice fit. Comfy. Wash them first. They're a bit long until the first wash, then the length is perfect. Read more

When we received these I thought, there' s nothing here, they felt so thin. Like so many textiles, once washed, they fluffed up and felt softer and thicker. I'm 5-10 , waist 38, hips 40. They fit well, a little snug in the waist, roomy everywhere else. Like most people reported, they were 3 in too long. No big deal, the other half hemmed them. In fact, she is 5-6 and they fit her, of course had to be hemmed. These are ideal for lounging around the house in the summer. We prefer heavier ones for winter, but we have 6 months of summer and 6 months of cooler to cold temperatures. I like the nice roomy pockets and the drawstring for the time when the elastic starts to get weak. Update; these pants are not sewn very well. The stitching that holds the elastic in the waistband started to unravel. At today's prices these are still a bargain. Fortunately, my wife has expert sewing skills and a maching to fix prolems like this. She also shortened the length of the legs, they were too long. Read more
