I think these socks were described as being 70%+ cotton when I purchased them. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that the sticker on my bag said it was mostly poly and only 45% cotton. It seems that the description has changed and no longer includes material specifics, just a mention of cotton. The inside of the sock's sole has a thicker, nubby texture that felt a bit like a rough towel. Maybe it's that way for cushioning/absorption but it can be irritating when it rubs against sensitive skin. I don't notice it as much when I'm wearing shoes with laces, but I could not wear these to bed. Despite the downsides, I like these socks better than most I've seen in stores, which are nearly all poly. It's hard for me to find ones that even have a significant percentage of cotton. These haven't caused foot odor for me. The poly/cotton blend in these gives you some wicking properties with some breathability. These seem like they will be durable but are not the most comfortable. I wish the inside of the sole was smoother and that they contained more cotton. 100% cotton socks are really expensive online, so these are still a good deal if you don't have strong sensory issues.
