This is a solid backpack with some nice features for traveling. The front little pouch is roomy. The zipper pulls are nice and feel higher-end. The rear laptop compartment has two sleeve sections for your electronics plus a zipper section on the opposite side. The padding for the electronics section seems sufficient. The main compartment has tie down straps to hold your clothing or other items in place plus two zippered sections (one being a wet safe area) and two mesh pockets. This area has two zipper pulls and easily opens all the way. The shoulder straps are nicely padded and easily adjustable in length. The water pockets on each side are well made with an elastic band on one side so the pocket can expand. There is a luggage strap on the back so you can easily slide it onto your suitcase handle. The fabric seems strong and sturdy. There are a couple things I'd change. While this is a nice bag, I'm not sure a $70 price point is appropriate. It seems a little high to me. Also, I'd prefer for the rear compartment to have double zippers like the main compartment does. I think at a $70 price point, that is a feature that is expected. Note - This won't fit a 17" laptop. I was really hoping this would fit my 17" laptop even though it wasn't advertised as being able to. I can get my laptop to slide into the laptop sleeve, but the top sticks out so I can't close the zipper. If I place it into that rear compartment without sliding it into the sleeve, then I can barely get the zipper closed, but the fabric is definitely taking some strain around my laptop edges. Plus there's no padding at the bottom. So, can I make it work? Yes. But I'm going to keep looking for a backpack like this for traveling that is just a tiny bit bigger. Read more
