This mattress protector is more expensive than most, but is totally worth it. We have been using these protectors for a couple of years now for multiple children, and they have seen their fair share of accidents but all of our mattresses are still stain free. Rarely if ever does anything get through to the mattress, and if it does, it is so little that it cleans up quickly, easily, and without a trace with some Bac-Out Biokleen (another product my wife and I swear by). The top layer of absorbed it, the underside was dry, as was the mattress, nothing got through.
