Second update: As of Jan 2019 the first set of these I purchased have been relegated to my winter boots. They are still 100% functional and comfortable as heck! Can't believe how long these last compared to the plastic-y ones you buy in the store that just disintegrate after a few months. The Nevados boots are awful though, they fell apart after 2.5 months. Update: After nearly a year these insoles are still going strong. Much more durable than the Dr Scholl inserts I used in the past due to the 1 piece/material construction. They may be a little less spongy than when brand new, but still super comfy and keeping my feet nice and padded. I recently started walking about 5 miles a day and even with the heavy steel toe boots I had before there were no comfort problems. I did purchase a pair of Nevados hiking boots and immediately got a set of these to go with, and this is a cheap, light, cool, and comfortable pair of summer boots. I will keep buying these insoles for as long as they keep making them. Original review: Recently purchased new Red Wing boots and was starting to get some pretty interesting heel and big toe pain after 10 hours at work (standing on concrete). I looked at the insoles that came with the boots and they were just simple flat pieces of thin foam with no shape for support or anything. Coupled with steel toes and full welt outsoles, the bottoms of the boots were rather uncomfortable. Rather than try to return 2 week old, oil and metal chip covered, worn boots to a local boot store I decided to purchase new insoles to make them work for me. I also love the boots otherwise in terms of features and upper comfort, they just needed a bit more sole. These insoles are memory foam only and do not have much super solid support however they are absolutely amazing. 2 days of wearing these in my boots and my big toes are no longer burning and aching and my heels are back to normal as well. I do not think these are going to last more than 2-3 months, however for $15 I will keep buying them. The size 6-9 fits well inside of the size 9 Red Wing Irish Setter boots I have, just a hair short but I didn't have to cut anything...just pulled the old, dropped in the new, and profit. I know this will not be the case for most, but I wanted to share that the sizes were fairly accurate. Read more

I'm an old guy mainly looking for everyday comfort in athletic walking and running shoes for softer texture and materials to get me from A to B....my running days are long over....I don't even own a pair of standard hard sole street shoes....I have back pain and sciatica issues....so the factory insoles that come with the athletic shoes aren't always the best match for me, and I replace them with something more comfortable....these Happystep Memory Foam insoles work like a charm for me ...and I've tried out almost all of them! Not much to them, simple inserts that make shoes or boots more comfortable. Read more
EDIT: after over a month of use, these insoles aren't quite as comfortable as they used to be. I work four hour volunteer shifts on my feet the whole time and if I wear these in a run-of-the-mill combat boot or something my heels will still be sore after just those four hours. :( I wear them in my work sneakers every day still, but those sneakers already have cushioned soles. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I will say, these are decently comfortable if you have the right fit. I had used comfier insoles but these will almost certainly last longer. I like the thickness. As far as sizing goes, I am a 6.5 and so ordered the 7-9 size, thinking that obviously too long would be better than too short since you can trim them. The only problem is that, since it only instructs you to cut the toe end, if you are on the lower end of those sizes this will put the arch support too far forward on your foot. I have very high arches, but the arch support was just not in the right spot, causing me soreness between my arch and the balls of my feet. Luckily, I had saved the tips I cut off, duct taped them back together, and retrimmed the front AND the back. They fit well now. Read more
Bought a used pair of Brooks sneakers that someone had replace the original insole with a customized one with a HUGE protruding arch support. I guess it didn't fit well, so they ditched the shoes! Got them for a song, but needed to replace the insole. The shoe is a women's size 9 and these insoles not only fit perfectly without any trimming, but they provide perfect support. Not too much or too little arch support. Cushioning is soft and comfy. Highly recommend for a good replacement for a stock insole. Read more
I've used these for years as I need extra arch support, a heel cup that holds the heel and extra padding for my sensitive (old) sole. They stay in place and can be trimmed to fit the shoe. Unfortunately the newer model doesn't give the extra padding in the ball of the foot like the older model did, and I miss it. Read more
