I reeeeeally like this product: 1) It helps give volume to my roots. I used to tease my roots quite a bit and hairspray/blow-dry volume to my roots as well. That all takes a toll. At 45, this product helps my roots at less of a cost to my scalp and hair! 2) It has some grit to it, because it needs to, but LESS gritty than others i have tried. 3) The idea, from what i have heard, originated as a dry shampoo. I don't like the thought of not washing hairspray out of my hair. This stuff is different. It actually makes me NOT want to wash my hair. 4) My hair is less oily the next day...I can massage my roots the next day and get some life back to it rather than it feeling gross, flat, oily. 5) I have always felt the need to wash my hair every night. I get annoyed when people say they are on day 5 or 6 of not washing because I could never! Lol. This product has ACTUALLY helped me go 2-3 days! Yay! 6) I have had a few bottles of this. I felt like there was still some left in the bottom of the first bottle that wouldn't spray out. I read reviews where people complained about that. Holy smokes this a a game changer for fine hair ladies! The amount of volume is insane. Great product and works way beyond my expectations. Definitely worth the money and a little goes a long way. This stuff is great. It gives my hair texture and lift without making it feel sticky like other root powders I've used. A little goes a long way. I got severely sick in December and started losing hair shortly after. I knew the hair shedding would be temporary but watching the volume of hair fall really took a toll on my confidence. This root powder was my knight and shining armor! Not only did it provide volume, it disguised the sparse areas! The other challenge I deal with on a regular basis is an oily scalp. This powder worked as a dry shampoo and soaked up any oil - keeping my scalp oil free all day. I LOVE the pump and how I can aim directly in the needed areas. I've used root powder from other brands and they do not compare in packaging or formula - this is by far more innovative. The scent is spa-like and immediately makes me happy. This is probably the best hair volumizer / thickener I have ever used thus far for dry styling. Twice now, my hairstylist has asked what I put in my hair when I go get it colored - because "it feels really good in the hair, and provides great grip for the color to hold on to." If you have fine hair, but a lot of it like me, volume and grip is elusive after a fresh wash. This gives you the grip and volume you are looking for. I will say, the application does have a bit of a learning curve - from product distribution to how to place it with in the hair for the best effect. The bottle works best when its more full than not, so I tend to buy 2 at a time to keep it at least half full. With that being said, because it seems like a little product for the price you dont want to waste it, but a full pump works best for the bottle mechanism - bit of a catch-22. I would say the closest in type of product that I have used would be the Kristen Ess working texture powder, but even then, this product gives you the body/ volume that KE's doesn't. Oh, and the smell - its amazing. The best way to describe its scent is like a green/clean smell. I love it. I am so happy its on prime solely for the free shipping. Fabulous product! This is my 3rd bottle!!!! I have followed Harmony for many years on Instagram and YouTube. She is an amazing person and seems very down to earth. When Aveda discontinued a power hair product for volumizing -- I was bummed. I bought all I could on ebay at the time. Then Harmony being a hair expert and former hair stylist developed this product. It is amazing and far surpasses Aveda in my opinion and I have compared both of them as I still have bottles of Aveda's product. Harmony also developed a Hair Spray which is my favorite as well. Back to the product. You simply apply at the roots or wherever you want volume in your hair. Massage it in and that's it. Super easy. It makes my hair grippy, adds volume where I want it and my hair doesn't get oily. I can easily go 3 days even with the hot weather in Arizona. The smell is mild and not offensive and not perfume-ish either. Just a nice light scent. This product is especially perfect for traveling or camping when you may not be able to wash your hair daily. I highly recommend this product! I should mention I am a hair junkie -- as I love to try new products from high end brands.
