These are the winner for my 3 month old Cairn Terrier. I've tried quite a few other chews and this keeps her occupied far longer and the flavor keeps her interested for the entire duration. The photo is after a good hour chomping on it. Haven't noticed any changes in her bowel movements yet, so I'm a firm believer that great ingredients are used. I haven't seemed to notice any fowl smell. She does eat the bacon wrapped around them pretty quickly. Others I've tried: Nylabone Healthy Edibles - messy, small for the price, don't last long, pup loses interest about 1/4 of the way into it Canine Naturals Puppy Chicken Chews - pup loves the flavor but it only took her 5 minutes before I had to remove about an inch size piece from her throat Canine Naturals Peanut Butter Rolls Medium - I thought the larger size of these would be safer, and while she loves the taste, these large rolls still only lasted about 15 minutes Nutri Chomps 6 inch Braids - very short lasting for how hard these are. Pup is about to unbraid it after about 10 minutes and I worry she will try to swallow large chunks. Seems to really like the flavor though Petsafe Busy Buddy Jack - pup seemed to love this at first, but lost interest fairly quickly, the peanut butter ones seem to work a little better, but she barely touches it anymore Yak Cheese Chews - they keep her busy for awhile but she loses interest about 10 minutes in. They're very hard as well so maybe once she's older and has her adult teeth, they'll work better. These will probably last even longer than the Oinkies if she starts to enjoy them. Wish these weren’t so expensive because the don’t last as long as earlier versions at double the price. Sometimes they’re very thin with hardly any chicken wrap, other times they’re nearly an inch thick and loaded up. But the dogs look forward to one every day, they’re easy on the digestive system, and they won’t eat the plain ones, so for now there’s no better alternative. Read more

I first got my small dog the tender twists, and while she loved them, she finished them in just a few minutes. I decided to try these and the kabobs next and I’m so glad I did! The kabobs kept her busy for around 20 minutes, but these have kept her chewing for over an hour. Especially since she’s a pretty picky eater, that’s really impressive.
