As I have gotten older I find that daily exercise is the only thing that relieves my stiffness and aches. There are 16 workouts, each roughly one half hour long: 7 Complete Fitness, 3 Strength Training, and 6 Low Impact Cardio. Each WO seems to have all of these 3 components to a greater or lesser degree, so that you get a good overall WO with any of them. Each routine includes a warmup and stretching cooldown. All moves are designed to be functional--to keep us independent and active in our daily lives. The hosts are personable, pleasant and encouraging. There is no closed captioning. A harder and an easier variation is shown for each exercise. Exercises are mostly standing or seated, with minimal floor work. I am able to modify most of the floor exercises myself, using a bench or even a couch, if necessary. Each WO is plenty hard enough for me, but presented so that I am usually able to complete them. As I progress I can make them harder, if needed. I usually do 2 WOs on the the same day. I also have the companion book, Stay Fit for Life, by host "Coach" Joshua Kozak, which shows many of the included exercises in detail. Also in my WO rotation are videos by Susie Hathaway and Jane Fonda Prime Time. Some of the HASFit routines are also on YouTube, and there is a HASFit app as well. This DVD set gets the job done for me--keeping me mobile, stronger, and pain free. Recommended. Read more

These exercises are effective and they more than do the job for senior citizens and those suffering from injuries or medical issues. The one thing that can be prescribed for anyone at any age is exercise! Balance is a major problem with seniors. This is of course because of aging and polypharmia (many prescriptions which affect balance). These DVD's have exercises to improve balance and strengthen the core (just about all our muscles except those of the extremities). Each exercise has two instructors, male and female, your choice! The female instructor performs the excercises with modifications for women or the weaker among us of either sex. You have to start somewhere! If your desire is to improve your health and you are serious about it, you will not be disappointed with this DVD set! Also, I think they can greatly help with fall prevention. It is amazing what an excercise tool a good folding chair can be! Amazon sells some good ones! Read more

As a 70+ year old past aerobics instructor I really appreciate this video. Slow enough for my one bad knee, and other replacement knee. Good discussion during exercises, no loud music, very encouraging talk. I have only been doing the first of 16 workouts for the past few weeks, trying to get back into shape, and doing it slowly and this video really helps. The only negative comment I have, which confuses my husband who is doing it a few days a week with me, is the instructor not knowing the right/left command when facing the class. Ex. he says right (which I know he means his right) but moves to my left. He should say right and move to his left which would be my right. Other than that so far so good. Read more

I'm loving these DVDs! The routines are challenging but not to the point of fatigue or strain. I can alternate between standing or sitting and can choose which workout is good for me for that day! Whatever your exercise level, I highly recommend "HASfit Exercises". Read more

This set is directed at seniors. Really? How do you define senior? I am 67 and pretty mobile with numerous joint issues related to a very old (1980) car accident. I also have Meniere's disease, an inner ear problem that affects my balance. I found these DVD's impossible to do. They either made my joint pain a lot worse and/or overwhelmed my balance issues. In addition, I personally find the use of the term "tribe" as offensive. I am sticking with Jessica Smith and Leslie Sansone for my workouts. This isn't a total loss, though, because my husband finds them useful, although he also says the are NOT for seniors. Read more
