My husband has a hard time finding size 15 shoes, and the few options he does come across often don’t fit like a true size 15. Because of that, we’re always a bit hesitant when trying a new brand. We decided to give these Oxford dress shoes a try, and it turned out to be a great decision. Right away he commented on how comfortable they felt, which is unusual since most new shoes take time to break in. The fit is true to size and provides plenty of room without feeling loose or pinching his pinkies. The shoes feel sturdy and well made, and the material has a smooth finish that’s easy to wipe clean while still feeling breathable throughout the day. We chose the navy blue color for versatility, and it pairs really well with a variety of outfits. He’s worn them with jeans, slacks, and shorts, and they look great with all. They also work well with different types of socks such as dress socks, no-show socks, and even thicker wool ones, depending on the season. Finding any set of shoes that actually provide a stylish and quality experience for extended sizes is often very difficult. Even worse, when you do find them, they tend to be extraordinarily expensive. That's not the case with this excellent pair from Hawkwell. With styling that gets you that classy dress look that works fine in the office but also out on the town. Coupled with comfortable wearing and excellent support, particularly in the arch, and these are true five-star winners. They are working perfectly for my 6'2" adult son, who is rather picky about what his shoes look like, but he immediately liked the understated elegance of this pair. They also have a width to them that takes into account that, obviously, it's an extended size, and so you don't have to ask for a wide status as well when you're talking about shoes this big. They also are clearly a high-quality build. You can expect to have them for a nice long time. My brother’s wearing these men's black brogue-inspired sneakers regularly. His size is 15 and they fit him true to size. The upper is made of artificial leather with a classic wingtip brogue pattern with precise perforations along the toe cap and sides. They have the look of traditional oxfords but my brother says they don’t have the stiffness of formal dress shoes. The interior doesn’t feel hot. The slightly rounded toe box allows room to move without looking boxy. On the tongue I see they’re made in China. The white outsole is thick, textured, and non-slip. It feels durable. Having to go back into the office in front of people, it was time to upgrade out of my slippers. I usually go for Doc Martens, but for the price and recent quality issues, I decided to give these a try. Many shoes I’ve worn fall into two categories: A) look great but feel like medieval punishment devices, or 2) comfortable but shaped like a loaf of bread. These shoes actually manage to land somewhere in the magical middle. I’ve been wearing them daily to the office and they’ve held up way better than I expected. The cushioning is surprisingly solid. I wouldn’t run a marathon in them (I wouldn’t run a marathon in anything, let’s be honest), but for all day wear, they kept the pressure off my heels and didn’t leave my toes plotting revenge. The extra width could be what causes these to run larger than I’m used to. Style wise, they look sharper than I do before my third cup of coffee. The wingtip detailing gives that “I know what I’m doing” energy, even when I absolutely do not. They pair well with slacks and chinos, and I even wore them with jeans once when I wanted to feel like I had my life together. Are they perfect? Not quite. The break in period took a couple of days longer than I’d hoped, and the material feels slightly stiffer than my higher end pairs and the stitching around the sole left something to be desired, but they have earned a place in my wardrobe. Overall, these are a fantastic choice if you want dress shoes that look classy without making you reconsider all your life choices after an hour of standing.
