I have bought quite a few pieces from Hawson for formal events and nothing so far as disappointed. These cufflinks are no exception. The blue is brilliant and looks great with a navy suit. The gold is bright and is a great accent for any similar gold accessories. I was never concerned that they would fall out of the sleeves and they held up well during a night of heavy dancing. It had been six years since my husband wore his tuxedo and we assumed the shirt studs were in the little box with cuff links but nope. He discovered they were missing at the last minute. We needed to leave for an out of town wedding in 48 hours. I found this set on Amazon and thought the price was a bit low, so they might not be good quality, but what the heck, they only needed to team up and hold on to two layers of shirt fabric for a few hours. The little box (which had heavy elastic bands to hold all the bits on the cardboard) were literally on my doorstep in18 hours. Studs looked good and were fairly heavy weight, so off to the wedding they went. And joy joy there were two extra studs in case we dropped one and couldn't find it, which we almost did. They slid into the buttonholes and did their studly job with honor for five hours while we enjoyed the wedding and reception. I'm glad I took a chance on these rather than taking a two hour round trip to a men's store to pay twice as much. Back in the box they went till the next black tie wedding.
