I am able to walk my 1 mile to the gym without a duffel bag floating around. This bag is larger than it looks and takes more than expected. I am able to fit my headgear, 2 gloves (12 oz & 16 oz), water bottle, jump rope and other stuff without problem and walk over to the gym. The straps keep the backpack flush to my back so it doesn't even feel like I am carrying stuff. Best investment. It is breathable and my hand wraps and gloves do take air. I purchased this bag, specifically it had an extra compartment for gloves. Unfortunately, Hayabusa gloves hardly fit. This is literally the only brand I use, so I can't test them on other glove brands. But when trying to put the Hayabusa T3 Boxing Gloves (18oz) in the glove area, they hardly fit. Easily the best backpack I've ever owned. I use it for the gym and it is DECEIVINGLY spacious. The pouch for shoes is a lifesaver! The laptop pouch is almost as big as the main pouch, but it's almost hidden. It's well constructed; I know that I will be using this for many years to come! Read more

Pretty small, barely fits 12 ounce gloves. Shin guards you have force in. Overall you probably can only fit in a pair of 12 ounce gloves and shin guards and thats it. Read more
