For many years, I thought that problems with undesired nose hair were the sole domain of men. However, as I got older, I found my own nose hairs to be getting perilously close to emerging from the depths of my nostrils. I then went down the rabbit hole of how best to address this distressing situation. I soon learned that the solution I’d been using for many decades for excess eyebrow hair, namely plucking, is actually dangerous for nose hair, so it’s much safer to trim nose hairs using scissors. Unfortunately, however, using sharp scissors poses a different kind of risk for me, because even minor cuts lead to profuse bleeding. These scissors were therefore perfect for me, since the blunt tips are much more protective than regular scissors. The scissors are good quality and feel very sturdy. I wasn’t sure how easily they would actually cut, given the blunt edges, but they worked just as well as my scissors with sharp edges. They are small enough to maneuver easily but with roomy fingerholes for my large, thick fingers. I've been noticing that the older I get, the longer and thicker certain kinds of body hair start to grow, including nose hair. I ordered these scissors as a way to shorten the hairs that had become visible outside my nose. I didn't want to destroy my nose hair altogether because it helps trap dust and other particles that I don't want to inhale. These scissors are safer for the nose than nail-trimming scissors because the tips are blunt to prevent injury. I've only tried them in my nose so far, but I can imagine using these to trim other types of unwanted hair that grow in awkward areas of the body. They definitely work, and beyond that, they are actually really nice to use. The scissors are polished to a very smooth finish, which makes them comfortable to hold. The holes are large enough for my fingers with room to spare. The scissors glide open and closed almost effortlessly with nothing loose or jiggly. The most important part is that the blunt-tipped ends are also very smooth, and the sharp blades cut nose hairs cleanly with each snip. The scissors come with their own little leatherette pouch to protect them when not in use. It's nice when something so simple and practical turns out to be such a pleasure to use. I got these small personal grooming safety scissors for my husband to use on his nose and eyebrow hairs. They are made from hygienic stainless steel and come with a brown faux-leather storage sheath, which is a nice touch. They have rounded blunted tips to prevent small accidents. I deducted one star, because although they feel like a substantial weight, they are held together by a single screw at the center. My pair of scissors feels a bit wobbly at the point where they are connected. So I would say the quality seems decent, but not exceptional. The scissors seem plenty sharp for trimming small amounts of hair or a loose thread, but unlikely to cause accidental harm due to the round tips.
