Works great with a good cable

I really only want to point out one important thing, the quality of your RCA cable (R/W/Y) is important for this device to record properly. The first time I used it I connected the first RCA cable I found laying around. It was a really cheapo lightweight cable and the results were not so good. The video was dropping frames and I was considering returning it. As a last ditch effort I looked for a better quality cable and found one that is probably three times the thickness of the cheapo cable. Now the recordings are exceptional. Just a little FYI, I'm using it to record video from the HDMI output of a Roku Express to the RCA input of a device that is no longer available for purchase (at least what I can find). I record to a Phillips HDD (hard disk) and DVD player/recorder. This is the best $10 I've spent in quite some time. Read more
