We've used Blood Pressure Monitors and cuffs for a number of years. We have to make sure we do it in well lit room and angled so that you can read the non back lit screen. This monitor has an easy to use set up (if you choose to use it) to set the date and time, and set it for one or two users, keeping history and average pressure for each user. It verbally lets you know that you have your arm in the right position for an accurate reading, and verbally as well as visually tells you the values, and where your blood pressure and pulse are in relation to low, high, or just right. When calibrated, it was spot on. Read more

This monitor is awesome. I've struggled with monitors that go on your bicep because I either can't get them positioned correctly, or they're too long for a short person with short arms, or they're just otherwise cumbersome. This wrist monitor is so easy to use, and will fit everyone! Plus, it's small and has a nice case to put it in, so it's not taking up precious geography in a drawer, shelf, or cabinet. Also, more than one person can store their data in this. Last, I tested this when I had my BP taken at the doctor and it matched well. Read more

Purchased 2ea of these monitors because my mother is having health issues and wanted to confirm the accuracy of these units. I'm a certified EMT and was comparing these automatic units to my manual sphygmomanometer (BP Cuff) to verify accuracy. Both units consistently would error out but had nothing in the manual or on the device to explain why the unit would not read. In only about 20-25% of the time would it even go through process of inflating and taking a reading and this is only after removing batteries, replacing batteries, powering off and back on, repositioning the cuff, repositioning your arm/wrist, etc... Purchased an Omron cuff for ~$10 more and ZERO ISSUES. It doesn't speak but it ACTUALLY WORKS and is accurate within a few mmhg on the reading CONSISTENTLY! Tried to go through normal Amazon returns process when I was forced to go through Amazon Technical Support. They called me and then tried to insist on me speaking to manufacturer. Explained I was not going to speak to manufacturer, I went through the troubleshooting in the manual and nothing in the manual explained the error or lack there of and both devices had the same issue. Amazon finally gave in and advised, the item is NOT RETURNABLE but they would credit my account that I could dispose of the items, donate or whatever. MISERABLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PRODUCT! This HealthSmart wrist monitor feels like a high-quality piece of equipment built for the long haul. I'm rating the Quality and Durability at 4 out of 5 stars. The digital screen is bright, clear, and easy to read, and the cuff material is sturdy without being uncomfortable. What truly elevates the durability is the included hard, protective carrying case. As a busy mom, my medical devices need to be able to withstand being tossed into a diaper bag or purse, and this monitor's case ensures it stays protected from bumps and drops, making it an excellent investment for long-term health monitoring. For Ease of Use and Setup, this monitor earns a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. The operation is almost entirely "one-touch," meaning there’s no complicated process to get a reading. I especially love the premium features like the Heart Spot Technology, which visually guides you to position your arm correctly, taking the guesswork out of wrist BP readings. Additionally, the talking function (in English or Spanish) is fantastic for when you can’t look down, and the 2-user memory system is incredibly simple to set up and switch between, making it a true family health tool. When considering the advanced features included, the monitor provides excellent Value for Money, earning 4 out of 5 stars. While you might find cheaper basic wrist cuffs, the added cost here is justified by the technology you receive. Features like the Irregular Heartbeat Detection, the Visual BP Guide, and the 120-reading memory (60 per user) mean this device is a comprehensive tool, not just a simple gadget. For anyone serious about monitoring their health trends consistently at home, the added functionality is well worth the investment. However, when it comes to Real-World Effectiveness, I gave the monitor 3 out of 5 stars. This isn't a knock on HealthSmart, but rather the nature of wrist monitors. While the monitor itself is highly consistent, achieving accurate readings requires the user to hold their wrist perfectly still and at heart level—a discipline that can be challenging, especially when in a hurry. The device is superb for tracking trends and spotting changes, but for clinical accuracy, you must diligently follow the positioning instructions every time. It works, but the user compliance needed means it requires more focus than a traditional arm cuff. Finally, the Aesthetics and Design are exceptional, earning 5 out of 5 stars. The monitor is compact, sleek, and unintrusive on the wrist. Unlike bulky arm cuffs that can be a nuisance, this design is minimalist and portable. The small footprint, combined with the hard-shell case, makes this the ideal blood pressure monitor for the person on the move, whether you’re commuting, running errands, or simply keeping it discreetly in your kitchen drawer. It truly delivers on the promise of convenient, digital health monitoring. Read more

I work in a nursing home and need to check ten people's vitals every morning. This monitor half the time, for no discernable reason, will not read my patients' blood pressure and instead just reads "error" after taking an exceptionally long time to make the attempt to read their blood pressure. This was ultimately putting me behind in the mornings and I had to stop using it. It works fine on me personally so it's a fine at home monitor but if you're looking for something to use in a professional setting if any kind, keep looking. Read more
