This is a nice powerful heat gun! I love the different attachments and thank goodness for the two different temperature settings. Be patient when you first start using it and don't jump to the highest setting right away. Let it heat up for a few minutes to see how warm it's going to get before going to the higher setting. It gets pretty warm on low, it just takes a bit. Read more

My kids love stickers, but sometimes they don't always put them in the right place. Recently, I decided I needed to get a heat gun so I could remove the sticker on the SUV door and also on the bumper area. This is a heavy duty heat gun. I found it worked very well and was easy to hold. The heat gun has two heat settings and can be switched back and forth easily. This is a great option for allowing different temperatures for individual projects around the house. Additionally, it comes with a bunch of attachments. Each offers a different use and is easy to snap on. When using the heat gun on my first project, I wanted to remove the vinyl stickers in the car. I used the attachment that helped focus the heat so I could pull off the sticker without impacting the whole area. Overall, it took a little bit of time to warm up the sticker, but it did peal off with a little bit of coaxing. I am very impressed with this heat gun and would definitely recommend it. Read more

I have 2 main problems with this heat gun. First, it does not get as hot as it claims. I used an infrared thermometer and on level 1 it only got to about 200β and on level 2 it only got to about 350 at the hottest. Second complaint is that there is no fan only to help cool either the tip of the heat gun or the object you finished heating. There is also no way to set it down so that the tip is raised and won't burn anything, so you have to just hold it until it cools off. The first time I turned it off it also smoked, so I don't know if I trust it to operate safely long term. It will work for shrink tubing and probably for leaded solder, but it doesn't get nearly as hot as they claim. I haven't hooked it up to a amp meter but that might show exactly how many watts it consumes and would probably align with the actual temps I was seeing. Overall it works, but might be better options elsewhere. Read more

These gun has two settings. The lower setting blows air at 300C and the upper at 500C. That is an average powered heat gun. There are weaker and stronger ones. Some blow air at over 1000C. It works and comes with all the standard attachments. I just feel that at $40 it is a little overpriced for what it is especially considering that it does not come with any type of case. You can get a recognizable brand name heat gun at the roughly the same power level that comes with a case for for around the same price. Still, its not ridiculously priced, just on the far end of what I think is fair thus it still get 4 stars. If I was to buy a heat gun myself I would be looking for one with a case. I will probably end up ordering some cheap plastic case online for this one. Read more
