I bought this jacket because I stay cold. Some days I don't even have to turn on the heat because it keeps me warm. When I need the heat on it works great. A little bonus is when I put my hands in my pockets they are warm from the heat. I bought a XL and it's a tad tight but still fits and I can move in it. I wear a XL in all my jackets so if you don't like a tight fit then I would go up a size. The only thing I don't like is the battery placement and its big and heavy but would not stop me from purchasing it again. This jacket has plenty of pockets everywhere too.
