I love this sleep scrunchie! I have looked at the name brand one, which is similar, but didn’t want to spend a ton of money on something that might not work for my hair. I had already tried the flexi rods and found them bulky and annoying to secure and sleep in. But this scrunchie worked great. I have long fine straight/slightly wavy hair. I found that turning my head upside down to wrap my hair around the thin part of the band, and then standing up to figure 8 the big poofey part around the bun resulted in a secure hold for the whole night. Make sure the bun is close to the front of your head for sleeping. You don’t want it to push or pull on your pillow. The curls in the morning are gorgeous, but I have fine hair that doesn’t hold curls well, so I lightly misted with hair spray to hold the curl in longer. Read more

A friend had the name brand version of this product and I wanted to give it a try - but I didn't want to spend $30+. Enter the "BLINKEEN Heatless Curling Scrunchie, Heatless Hair Curler to Sleep In, No Heat Curls for Long Hair, Soft Sleep Hair Roller (Black)". For just a third of the price, I decided to give it a try. I've used it once. I have medium length, fine hair, and a lot of it. I showered, dried my hair 99% of the way, and then wrapped it in the scrunchie, and went to bed. Pros: Easy enough to figure out how to wrap my hair; stayed in overnight, totally fine comfort-wise to sleep in; left me with some nice waves/volume the next day. Cons: Smoothing product absolutely required (which I didn't have/use). The curls were nice, but a little frizzy - very clearly NOT from a heated tool, which is fine, but they didn't give me a polished-enough look that I felt was acceptable for a professional workplace. I was looking for a product that would extend my blowout and enable me to style my hair in the morning faster and without heat (or less heat). This works. I don't wet my hair before putting this scrunchie in as the instructions advise. I put in the scrunchie with dry hair, and in the morning my hair is much less tangled and needs just a little touch up and it's ready for the day. It's a huge game-changer for me. So the first time I used it(following the instructions) the curls were ok and didn’t last very long. They needed to be tighter. So the second time I put my hair up with disposable clear elastics, had my husband stretch the scruchie out while i tightly wrapped my hair. After I got it in I cut the elastics so it didn’t leave a crease in my hair. The curls were better but still didn’t seem to last long. Midday and there’s not much but a little wave. I attached pics from my first attempt and pics of my second. I actually bought two one for me and one for my daughter. My daughter has super long hair and it seemed to take a little better to her hair but still didn’t hold the curl too long just went to waves after a couple hours. My hair kept falling out after a few minutes and I had a hard time getting the very bottom of my hair to even wrap around. I have a lot of hair and it is pretty soft/fine so I think this just isn’t the right product for my hair type. The buns looked like this but then a minute later popped out. I feel like maybe if it had a layer of fabric to go over the bun it might stay better. Read more

I really like this. It takes a minute to figure out how to use but it seems like a solid way to protect your hair while you sleep. This product is not the same as the overnight curls types.
