I got these for two purposes. I was painting a bathroom and my husband had car work to do. I used them on the floor in the bathroom. They are very thin, which makes them easy to place down and tape to the baseboards. I walked on them, placed paint cans on them. I didn't get an rips or tears. The quality is good, but I am sure they will cut easily if you place something sharp on them. The paint spatter did not leak through at all. In the garage, the size is nice. It covered the floor under the engine of the car. When the oil dripped down, it collected in a pool and did not leak through at all. That made cleanup very easy. Just wad it up into a ball and toss. Overall, I am happy with the value of these tarps, which I was truly using a slightly more heavy-duty drop sheet. Read more

I got the 5 mil blue tarp. This tarp is great!. The quality is good. We have used it as a temporary shade (when we went camping and was surprised by how unshaded it was) to setting it up as permanent cover over a portion of our back yard. The grommet are made nicely too. I say this as it has been very windy and this held up with no issue! The tarp is also water-resistant, so we made sure to set up our cover with a slight slant, so that water won't pool on the tarp (which we had set up as a shade cover). The thickness is good and works really well for what we want (UV-resistant!). Since these are UV-resistant and are fairly heavy-duty, I am considering using these to cover our yard and kill weed (the long game - takes a few months from what I can see), but I'll try that next time. Quite pricey, but these are quality tarp. So if you are only looking for something basic, I'd suggest something else (or maybe find the one that fits your specific need). This is more of a multi=use heavy duty one for more commercial use. Read more

There are so many uses for a tarp. If you have a small hole or leak in the roof, you can cover it with a tarp until it is professionally fixed. Kids can use one to cover a treehouse or to make a fort. A tarp can protect plants when it is too cold outside. There are entire websites devoted to just providing uses for these simple but useful sheet of polyethylene. I bought this 8 foot by 10 foot tarp really for one specific use in my mind. Throughout my childhood, I raked the leaves at my house every single year. We were in a place where we would put them on the street, and a truck would come by and basically vacuum them up. The front yard was the easy part. Just rake the leaves directly to the road and leave them. The backyard was a totally different story however. First the backyard was very large, with a fence around the perimeter. There was one gate to get in and out of the yard. We would rake the backyard leaves into large piles, then slide leaves onto a tarp, carry the tarp to the road and empty the leaves near the curb. Literally it would take close to 100 tarp-loads to get all of the backyard leaves into the front. Now I have my own family and we are in a different house, but the setup is virtually the same. The tarp makes it very easy to transport a large volume of leaves to the front without having to struggle filling bags and carrying them up the hill from the back to the front. This tarp is 5mm thick so it is very durable and will withstand this yearly task with the leaves without an issue. If you don't have a tarp at your home, take a few minutes and see how beneficial they can be in a variety of situations. Definitely a great value. Note: It appears the listing has changed since I ordered this since I only received one tarp, and now it is showing a pallet worth of tarps. The tarp I received seemed very light weight, so likely wonβt have a very long life, but it has worked for light-duty covering. Read more

This tarp is just what I needed to cover my large compost pile I make every year to help keep excess rain out of it. Eventually I'll probably build a tin roof over the bin, but for now this will do. It's lightweight, but still useful for a lot of things such as securing a pickup truck load of stuff, keeping a wood pile dry, covering your tent temporarily, covering your central AC unit during winter, etc. I don't expect this to last forever since it will be mostly used outside, but it should last several years for what I need. If you need a heavier duty tarp, this one may not work for you. For the price I think this is a good buy. Read more

This is a very thin tarp that could puncture very easily. I wouldnβt call it multipurpose, itβs really just for light duty only. For example the thickness is similar to a plastic zip freezer bag. Read more

Great tarp! A good slogan for them would be: "Our True-Blue Tarps don't let you down." This one sure proved its worth during the storms we've had. Everything underneath remained dry. Good construction and quality. Totally satisfied with it. Read more
