Used to replace a really old and damaged dryer hose. It was easy to install, and I appreciated the fact that it came with clamps of better quality than what was already on my dryer. Cannot speak to durability, as I’ve only had it for a few months, although it seems to be made as well as my old hose, so I expect that it will last for at least as long as this old one did. Finally. I have spent years looking for a short sturdy flexible vent hose like this one, that also is up to code. PERFECT. My new dryer kept kicking out flow sensor error messages because the installation nimrods sent by the big box store I bought it from had no clue (did not care) and used a too-long poorly made flexible hose to connect to outside vent. Never vented properly. This fixed it in short order. (pun intended) Went on easy. More flexible than stiff all metal vent hoses. The new easy turn screws on the clamps worked great. Hand tighten. No tools required (except to remove the old one). Shorter run means no more kinks, no more error messages. And up to code, finally. Best $10 I ever spent. Read more

I usually don’t write lengthy reviews but this dryer vent hose was well worth the time for me to do this review. This dryer vent hose is an excellent fit and purchase. I would be it again. I was going to pay a handyman to connect this dryer hose but thought I would give it a try. I purchased the 6-ft hose and I like the accordion expansion. I installed it extended out to about 4ft but then I realized there was too much slack. I was easily able to shorten the hose to the length I needed to have the dryer 2ft from the wall and able to attach to the vent duct that leads outside. This product is like an accordion where it can extend out to 6ft. The product arrived well wrapped and packaged. In fact it was only about 7 inches in height yet able to expand to 6ft. I’m a 68 year old female and was able to install this dryer vent hose myself. I saved myself $75 for an installation. This product is very easy to use, is very durable and the material is very good. Heavy duty, flexible duct, as advertised. Our new dryer included 8 feet of ductwork, flimsy., easily punctured. We had to call an installer as the duct had to pass thru a brick wall. He used the 8 feet, but it was barely long enough. It came off twice so I ordered this. Installed it myself with no problems. Added aluminum tape to both ends and placed the clamps. Tightened the yellow thumb screws, no problem. Only possible issue might be the connect point might be recessed too deep to turn those pieces. Not a problem for me. Highly recommended. Read more
