This is an excellent smartphone mount for some small to mid to regular/large sized tripods. Has universal threads at the bottom of the mount and also on the bottom of the cradle itself. Opens to 4" and has rubber padding on the clamps for grip and protection. You can't change tilt angle but you can rotate it. It's very easy to use, simply twist the knob tighter or looser insert your phone and tighten it down. It can open large enough to accommodate my galaxy s23 ultra without removing the case. It’s really sturdy and I like how it’s adjustable and not a spring wire like the ones I’ve used in the past. Functionally this is a great phone mount. I'm not sure how long the plastic would hold up under heavy use, but I'd have the same concern with similar mounts on Amazon for twice the price. So it's hard to be too critical considering that. Ideally I'd like the same design made out of metal, but I'd also expect to pay more for that. When my wife needed to make a recording for her online dance class I had tried to cobble together a phone holder on a tripod using a car phone mount and a couple small clamps -- this is a *much* better solution. It's made of fairly robust plastic and metal (for the important parts) and is remarkably sturdy considering the price. The product works as advertised. I appreciate that it is a screw tightened phone holder as there are many bumps and dips on our property and the phone could easily come out if not held tight. No loss of tightness in the holder and I can still use the fingerprint option to unlock and not remove it from the holder.
