These clippers are heavy duty and made of a nice grade of stainless steel. The blades are sharp and easily cut through normal toenails. Thy are small and thin enough to go under the corner of the nail , which can be tricky . They cut straight across. As with any nail trimmers, Use caution not to cut too close and don’t handle blade end. Treat them like scissors and only hold by the handle. Very well made. Read more

I got this because I wanted to do French tip style gel nails, which requires (the way I do them short) a very straight cut across the ends of the fingernails. This clipper has a wide enough opening to accommodate the curve of my nails, and is strong enough to cut them well - all for a reasonable price. I also liked that the handle end has some groves in it to help with gripping it. Read more

It's a challenge for me to cut my toenails, since they're very thick ... no fungal infection, but they're like talons.
