This vintage-style bustier has been an absolutely amazing addition to my wife’s wardrobe, especially since it brings so much classical charm and a truly fantastic look for her outfits! Right off the bat, the floral print and Victorian design are fantastic, making it a truly appealing option for anyone wanting to add a bit of Renaissance flair to their clothing collection. My wife loves it and says it makes her feel fantastic whenever she puts it on, which is a huge plus for her confidence and style. A really nice touch is how incredibly capable and well-constructed this corset is. The floral tapestry-like material is beautiful, and the sewn-in boning provides great support for a structured silhouette, which is awesome for achieving that classic hourglass shape. The lacing in the back is fantastic for adjusting the fit, and it gives the whole piece a very authentic, romantic vibe that looks incredible. It’s been a game-changer for her when she wants to dress up for a special event or just feel a bit more elegant in her daily wardrobe. My one little thing, however, is that while the design is stunning, the fabric itself has zero stretch and can feel a bit like costume material up close, so you really want to pay close attention to the sizing chart before ordering. It’s not a deal-breaker at all, but since it fits a bit on the smaller side, going up a size might be a tiny added convenience for a more comfortable fit without the front hooks popping open. Also, the lacing strings are very long, which is great for adjustability, but you might find yourself needing to trim them or tuck them in if they get in the way. All in all, I’m really happy with this floral bustier. It works perfectly, delivers a fantastic vintage look, and is a very appealing option for adding some Victorian elegance to any wardrobe. My wife is super happy with it, and I’m super happy with its great performance and how fantastic it looks on her. It’s definitely a solid choice for anyone looking for a high-quality and stylish piece to elevate their fashion game! Read more
I've gotten a couple other corsets recently, and this time I played it safe by making sure to size down a bit. I'm glad I did, as the button-eye type hooks in front easily come open. You will want to have a taught fit if you don't want the hooks popping open. I love the tapestry type material, pattern, colors on this. It really says renaissance and medieval. The ribbons on back of most corsets online need to be replaced with a matching strong cord. The ribbons aren't durable. This item, included. The fit is true to size according to the sizing chart in the page, but if you're between sizes, size down. The comfort level (not soft and perhaps stiff) is to be expected with a corset with material like light tapestry. Everyone will have different perceptions on whether the corset provides support. Most likely support will be based on bosom size. It's a lovely item, and worth the price. It's well sewn. Read more
This thing is well made i’ll give it that, stitching is solid and the fabric’s thick like someone cut up a victorian loveseat. it should look cool but on me it was giving walking mushroom or like a renaissance faire extra that got lost. maybe under a brown jacket it’d be a vibe but straight up by itself? not flattering on me. i got an xl (usually a L) and it fit fine, not tight or anything. but holy hell the strings are loooong, like i could jump rope with them. 3 stars cuz it’s not bad quality but it just ain’t it for my body shape. Lovely design, well-constructed Bustier of very good quality ! Lots of sewn-in bone structure support. Even stitching (I'm a seamstress so I do look things over well..), inside two end flap areas have neatly stitched/serged edges. The outer fabric is a woven tapestry-like material lined with a thin, almost flannel fabric that lays against your skin. The outer decorative fabric is upscale and the lining is quite soft. The top and bottom edges are finished with folded over satin, giving it a classy look. The hook/eye front closure is discreet and works well without looking like a lot of 'hardware'. The back section can be adjusted a couple inches. This bustier would be great as a stand alone vest garment with shorts or skirts, or would be awesome over a chemise or blouse. I love quality costumes and dressing up from past eras and was really hoping this would fit me. Unfortunately, it does not :( I ordered up a size to the XXL (biggest choice available but if it's an import, the sizing tends to be smaller than here in the USA~). The description states fabric is 'Satin' which is the top and bottom edge. It also says 'Poly and Spandex' which made me think there would be some stretch to the fabric and/or fit but there is ZERO stretch. I'm left wondering if the fabric content is incorrectly described. I did flat-lay measurements to compare to the listing: Listing Bust: 38.6 vs. Actual Bust: 37 ~Actual measurement is with the back lacing at the loosest tie it could be. If your body measurements fit are low numbers within the sizing chart and you are a USA shopper, hopefully you can order up a tad and fit the garment :) Read more
