This is the first toothpaste I gave to my toddler when I introduced her to brushing her teeth and she had no problem using it. She likes the watermelon flavor as she never spits it out and allowed me to give it to her each brushing session. The toothpaste has a thick consistency almost similar to a paste and is not runny. After placing a small amount on the toothbrush I would run it over the sink to help get it wetter and the texture did not change. There is no strong mint taste which I prefer as the mint taste bothered her taste buds. It is easy to squeeze the toothpaste out and the cap never broke while using it. Since I only use a small amount, the bottle lasted me about three months and the toothpaste never went bad. There is a watermelon scent that is not too strong but it is noticeable when using. If you are looking for a minty scent that is similar to adult toothpaste, I would skip these as these are fruity flavored.
