Definitely waterproof but sizing runs large. I typically wear medium and the bib overalls and rain jacket in size medium both are too big for me unless I was wearing extreme layering underneath. I just ordered the small size rain jacket and without layering that fits me. I also have this jacket in medium in a different color. The material is not very breathable but for the price and purpose I don’t care about that. I wanted something to be 100% waterproof. I typically am only working in heavy rain for 1-2 hours max as long periods of heavy rain are not frequent in my work region however I do have to work in the elements at times and need apparel that can hold up. My recommendation is that for slim or fit people you buy one size smaller than your normal size or what the size guide says unless you plan to wear the jacket over layers.
