We love the Herding Buddy and have had a way better experience than I thought when we ordered it! This ball has truly transformed the way we now engage with my dog. I love my pup and we have tried numerous toys, but none have come close to this Herding Buddy ball. From the moment I introduced my dog Enzo to the Herding Buddy, I could see immediately he was having so much fun and just joyful about it. The design is strong and the size is practical, made with really good materials that stand up to the most punishment (i.e. biting) Enza can give. I mean, he loves to tear toys apart and he just can’t with this one and it is a relief just from a safety standpoint alone! The handle is a particularly brilliant feature, allowing Enzo to easily grasp and manipulate the ball. It makes our play & training sessions really fun. The training manual is a really good guide that is easy to understand and follow, even for someone new to dog training. The step-by-step instructions cover a wide range of skills, from basic obedience to advanced herding techniques. The emphasis on positive reinforcement has not only made training enjoyable but has also strengthened our bond and communication. What I love most of all is it keeps my dog mentally stimulated and physically active, so he’s not bored and chewing things up. I have noticed a significant improvement in Enzo's focus, obedience, and overall behavior since incorporating the Herding Buddy into our routine. It has also brought immense joy to our family. My kids (7&9) love playing with him and the ball together. Watching him engage with them and the ball has been incredibly rewarding. The stitching came undone on the canvas ball cover after 10 minutes of play. I was sure to pump the ball up enough so there were no wrinkles in the cover. The ball is no longer usable after the first play. Update: The seller eached out to me and they are replacing the cover! This improves my rating from one star to 4 stars. If the next cover lasts longer, I would update to 5 stars. Besides the customer service, I found the instructions to be excellent. Worked a few times then popped. These balls usually last 3 times with playing with them then they pop. It’s good at first then it’s bad. They need more padding between the ball and the outer protection layer. Otherwise it’s a great ball. My dog is OBSESSED with this toy and we use it every day. He caught on to it immediately, although I did remove the bell because it was quite annoying as it is very loud. He's a fairly small dog, weighing about 20 pounds and about 12" at the shoulder. This ball is double his size, but he still pushes it around with ease and loves to drag it by the handle on the cover. The cover seems very durable, but doesn't seem to be completely puncture proof as the ball already has a small leak in it. Luckily, the ball comes with a patch kit and pump to fill it with air as needed. The cover is also slightly larger than the ball itself, so there is some give on the cover (not shown in the listing photos or description). But this might actually be for the best considering it got a small hole so quickly. It's a very fun toy for both owner and pet! I like this ball. My dogs, however, don't feel one way or another about it. They're not so much into balls, it seems. So, I will grade this based on what I know about dogs who love to chase them. This ball is pretty big. My pitbull can barely get her big mouth around it. Like its smaller relatives, it bounces when thrown. That bounce is the best! My dogs do like it when they see it bounce. A dog that loves chasing balls will love this one. I don't recommend it for dogs who get easily frustrated if they can't pick up an item.
