This Women’s Lace Up Front Bikini Top is very comfortable. I ordered it to wear around the house, not to swim in. I'm an older woman who lives in a warm climate. Some years ago, the minute my last child moved out of the house, I got into the habit of wearing a bikini top as my shirt when I was inside the house. Back then I had a lot of bikini tops because I was buying them on clearance for one dollar in the fall after the summer season was over. I'm no longer able to buy bikini tops on clearance for one dollar but, when I'm home alone, I still like wearing them around the house during the warmer months. That's how I am currently using this lace up front bikini top. I put this bikini top on the minute I got it. It fits my 38-40D plus bust quite well. It's adjustable and it's comfortable. From time to time however, when I reclining on my side in bed, I can feel a little pinch in the area of the side seam. It feels a bit like an ant bite. I've not looked to see what's causing the pinching feeling. I assume it's the way the seams were sewn or maybe an odd bit of knotted thread that's the cause. The only other thing that gives me pause about this bikini top is the removable padded inserts. As I mentioned, I put this top on immediately, without washing it first. Right away I noticed that the padded inserts are a good bit smaller than the areas that they occupy. The inserts don't fully cover the two halves of my bust. I find myself wishing that the inserts were larger by maybe an inch. Worse than that though, the padded inserts felt to me like they were possibly made out of paper. I was already wearing it and it was so comfortable that I really didn't want to take it off, however, the paper-like feel of the padded inserts bugged me. I wondered if washing this top might make the inserts feel softer. Hoping for the best I tossed this bikini top into the wash. As it was washing one of the inserts flipped in half. During that time I thought about pulling the inserts out and wearing this top without them. After this top was dried I looked for the insert removal site. I was having trouble finding it and I got a bit anxious but eventually I found it on the outside edge of each cup. Instead of removing the inserts however I changed my mind and instead flipped the insert that was folded back into place. Washing this top did indeed make the padded inserts feel less like paper, however, if I pass my arm over the front of this top while I am wearing it the inserts still have an odd unnatural feel to them. I can't really describe why they feel unnatural to me. That unnatural feeling is only felt by touching the outside of this top, the inserts are 100% comfortable from the inside. The large gives me enough coverage without smashing everything down, and the lace-up front lets you adjust it exactly how you want. I can tighten it for more lift or loosen it a little for comfort. I usually wear a women's medium in tops and ordered this bikini top in a medium. It does fit true to size on me. The back does not adjust but you can adjust it a bit using the lacing at the front. My girls have suffered through twins and yo-yo dieting for 20 years so let's just say they need some support. This top gives that. The way the top is cut plus the stupid removable pads, provides a boost and a nicely rounded look. I ordered this top for my girlfriend. She is 5'6" and about 130 pounds. 35B size. Size small fits her well. The fabric is substantial and has a soft texture.
