Ordered this tent with some trepidation, after having purchased one of similar pop-up design from another company that did not work properly. I’m very happy to say that this one is a VAST improvement on the one that I had previously purchased from a different company, and had to return. It is very well-made, and easy to both set up and take down. Set up is a snap if you have erected one of these types of tents before, but it’s easy to figure out if you’re new to them. The company has nicely included directions sewn into the carry case for quick reference. Unlike the last time, I set this tent up in the yard first to thoroughly tested out, before taking it on a trip. It really is fast to set up. I was able to do the basic set up in about three minutes by myself. Attaching the rain fly and setting up the vestibule entry took a couple minutes more. Realistically, when setting up in a campsite, by the time you put down a ground tarp, and set the whole thing up, you would be finished and ready to use it in under 10 minutes, even working at a casual pace. The tent itself is very sturdy and incredibly well designed. The attached legs, which unfold and snap into place, are strong and well-made. (Similarly designed legs were a problem with the other brand of tent that I tried, where the snap button mechanisms failed, and the tent would not stay up.) Once erected, this tent is sound. The stakes that they’ve included to tie the tent down are very good quality, and much sturdier than the typical bent metal wire type. They will definitely lock this tent into place, keeping it safe in wind. The rain fly is nice and large, attaches firmly in place, and covers the top vents well. All the zippers are of good quality, sewn well, and operate smoothly from both inside and outside the tent. The bottom fabric of the tent is noticeably more heavy duty than the sides, which worked well to keep the floor dry in wet conditions. I was particularly pleased that the manufactures included extra polls to create a covered entry vestibule with the door flap entry, which was also simple and quick to set up. Inside, this tent feels roomy, open, and airy. On warm summer nights, the vented roof, without the rain flap on, would allow for good air circulation and cooling, and would allow for some stargazing. At 67 inches high, this tent is taller and more comfortable to get in and out of than many similar tents on the market, comfortably allowing anyone under 5 1/2 feet tall to stand up completely inside. The quality of being waterproof was fairly important to me, as I often camp in wetter climates. I tested this out ahead of time, setting up the tent in the yard, with rain flap in place, and all openings, zipped tight. In an attempt to simulate a good rain, I used the shower nozzle on the hose at a fairly strong stream from above as well as slightly from the side, letting the water run for a full five minutes. The tent performed well in staying dry under this simulated rain condition. In particular, no water seepage came through the floor of the tent, and only minor seepage was seen along one window where I had fairly blasted the tent with water from the side. I would be happy if the tent performed as well when camping in the rain. Taking the tent down and folding it up was as easy as setting it up. All the items fit back into the carry case with ease. Being more neat with the folding up helped to allow the tent to fit easily in the bag. A strap is provided to buckle the tent closed before putting in the bag, which worked well. When fully packed, the whole bag was fairly lightweight, compact, and easy to carry. Given its good quality, it’s waterproof nature, and ease of setting up and taking down, this is a fabulous tent to take along when car camping, as an outside bedroom for the kids or extra guests at the campsite, or even to take a long as an emergency shelter on road trips. The price is very competitive compared to others of similar design, especially for tent of such good quality. The media could not be loaded. UPDATE DEC 2025: I took this tent on its first camp trip to the Oregon Coast and it ROCKS! I have a quick video of me putting it together with a few notes and a quick tour. This tent is SUPER easy to set up. I had it popped up in less than a minute by myself. The fly is the hardest part of this setup, only because I'm short. I love that I can stand straight up and not hit my head on the ceiling. Such a game changer of a tent setup. So EASY!! This tent is a GAME CHANGER! What used to be a minimum of 15 minutes to set up my old tent, this one I can get up and ready to stake in about a minute all by myself! It's about 10 pounds heavier than my old tent, but that's to be expected due to the larger and heavier poles. I don't mind the extra weight if it means I can pop this tent up in no time and without breaking a sweat! That's a HUGE win! The poles extend and click into place without any issue. When they're locked in, they're locked in! When it's time to take the tent down, you simply push the red button on each pole and the tent comes down. Easy peasy! I love the fact that this tent has windows on the three sides that zip up to close completely (my old tent had windows but the fly covered them so it was always a little cold). The fly covers the smaller vents on top and does a great job in this regard. The door has a mesh screen that zips up entirely while the door panel itself only zips from the sides keeping the bottom of the door unzipped, but overlaps quite a bit so there shouldn't be any issue with rain getting in. There is velcro attached to the door that keeps it extra secure and I thought that was a great feature. I didn't get the chance to transfer the door into an awning, but I imagine I'll do this in the summer and it will likely be easy to do, just as the tent is. I love that there are two pockets, one on each side of the tent, to store extra items such as keys, lights, etc. The fact that I can sleep in my single cot and NOT have the pocket of items hitting me in the head like my old tent is a huge bonus! Another huge bonus is that I can finally stand tall (I'm only 5'3" LOL) and not hit my head on the ceiling. There's plenty of clearance and definitely enough room to get dressed without having to constantly hunch over. This tent fits my single cot just fine with a TON of extra room for gear, my portable toilet and more. It's only me camping, so this is the perfect size for one person. I imagine it could fit two people comfortably, but I'm not sure how comfortable it would be with more than two. I love the color, the design and how easy it is to pop up AND take town. The storage bag is very sturdy and I feel like it's going to be durable enough to keep the stored tent secure. I have yet to camp in the rain with this tent, so I don't know how truly waterproof it is. I will say the only issue I have, which shouldn't be an issue assuming I can get it fixed, is a few tiny holes on the top of the screen vent on the roof. I noticed this when I was taking it down. I'm not sure if it came this way or if it happened on this trip. I live in Oregon, so I don't think I'll be camping without the fly because there's always a chance for rain, but I will look into making sure the holes don't get bigger. No more tent wars for me! This is advertised as an instant tent and it really is. The person who invented this tent is a genius. No lost poles, no inserting poles into proper slots, just open this thing up and enjoy camping. It is advertised as a tent for 4 people, but they would have to be kids - it is not large enough for 4 adults unless there is absolutely no gear inside the tent. Buy some heavier duty stakes before taking this on a camping trip, the stake that come with it are a bit on the flimsy side. Easy tent to set up and enjoy. Read more
This tent is good quality and very easy to assemble using the provided instructions. The instant pop-up design made setup quick and stress-free. It held up well during a windy camping day when secured with stakes, which gave us peace of mind. For the price, it’s a decent value and comfortably fits my family of four. Overall, a solid choice for family camping trips. Read more
