I have had small tents before but never this small. My smallest tent was a two-person tent but still quite similar to this one. Not much space other than for your sleeping bag and mat (but just your standard 72 inch mat, nothing longer) , however you can utilize the space between the tent and Rainfly to keep your belongings (so long as you pack light). The stitching is tight and well done. It has good guidelines making it good for windy conditions. The ventilation is high up to help eliminate rain or water getting in. I also got the footprint and I like that it is color coded so you can line it up properly. You probably won't be able to sit up straight in it, and I don't really like that fact. I also with it had a hook on top for a light, but then again it would probably hit you on the noggin so then again maybe I don't want that. I think it is great for backpacking if you intentionally plan on going small, or you have a an adult kid who likes to camp with you (like I do) but they want their own space. Read more

This is a very good tent for the price. Be aware, a one person tent is very small. If you want room for your backpack and gear inside, look to get a 2 person tent. If you’re a couple, I recommend a 4 person tent but a 3 will do. I always bring a 2 person tent if I’ll be in the woods more than a couple nights. This is more for lightweight backpacking purposes or, as I used it, for car camping when most all of my gear was left in my truck overnight and this was just used for sleeping. So, if you’re looking for an affordable, small tent, this is a great option. I had it in a heavy rain and it did great. I purchased the footprint separately and already had some better stakes available. I recommend getting those 2 things to round out the package. If the footprint is too heavy or pricey for you, cut a piece of tyvek to fit under it. I think this is a great value for a tent from a trusted brand and I hope it gets some people outside. Just be aware, 1 person tents are small by nature, and typically serve a specific purpose. Read more
