Easy to set up Read more
Other than I have two of the light strips that have failed and I am having trouble reaching the manufacture, these lights are very impressive. These are of a high quality construction. They are NOT cheap. My friend got something similar from Amazon and they are nothing compared to this set. I created a CAD layout in Sketchup so I could transfer the measurements exactly to the ceiling. I laid out a pattern with string on the ceiling and then put up the anchors using simple dimensional calculations from the CAD drawing (see my photos). I could not assemble the entire thing on the ground as I had a conference table below that is too heavy to move. This set is extremely solid and well made. The connectors were easy to use and simple to disconnect and reconnect when needed. The best thing about this set is that it has slip ring wire retainer mounts. You put the wire through them and you can raise and lower by pushing the connector (spring loaded). It allows you to get the height even and exact. It also allows one to play with the height to deal with obstruction and esthetics. I created an 8" spacer from PVC that I used to measure the exact distance from ceiling at each wire to adjust the exact height. I pulled the wire tight until the PVC spacer stopped the fixture at the exact 8" height. It made getting this plumb and level super easy (about a 45 minute task). These fixtures are BRIGHT. I mean SUPER bright. The three colors are a HUGE plus. I did not have to decide between warm white and bright white as I can change them on the fly. And I do change them. We keep them on the super blue like bright white during conferences and go with the soft white when watching a movie. My kids study with the medium color. The instructions with respect to the layout being in mm and not very clear are a problem, but if you look at my CAD drawing it gives all that is needed for a proper layout. I am hoping the manufacture contacts me about the two sections that no long illuminate to replace them. I will be ordering a 2nd one of these for a new project once I know I can get support. They are extremely bright. Semi easy to install with assistance due to the electrical part. Overall they are great for what they were needed for. Read more
Easy install, great ways to connect to a shape you want and excellent quality of light this far. Very happy with it. Initial reaction when you open the box may appear to be confusing or overwhelming, but once you unpack all and lay down on the floor, you get the idea how many different options you have. Read more
I did not receive this product in exchange for an review. I took a chance on the review I read and am very happy with my purchase. I bought one set and immediately went back to by a second set a would days later. Install is easy but slightly time consuming if your doing it by yourself. If you have two or three people to help then it’s do able in an hour. Probably took me 3 hours by myself to get both kits up and running. I made my layout in my garage floor first then to took two or three light strips and connectors and mounted them to the sheet rock ceiling. I chose to make my own design. My garage is 25x25. All the lights are on a 15 amp breaker. One kit is enough to light up the garage. I wanted one kit each car bay I have though. It’s been 6 months since the install and no problems to date. Read more

Very good quality and very easy to put together. Read more

I have a pretty strong issue with the way this product is advertised. Although the final product is going to look great, the process to get there is in no way indicated in the way it's presented. Going back through the promotional videos, I can still see how I was misdirected on the ease of installation; and it wasn't until I was done putting the pattern I'd selected together, going page by page through the 'photocopied/stapled' manual, was my 'finishing' fears comfirmed. First, I cleared the floor of my space for room to clip everything together in the pattern I'd chosen. Unlike some of the photos of packaging where each piece rested in protected in foam, all the clear acrylic attachment joints were all loose within two plastic bags. Although it distracted me, it wasn't a deal breaker (less waste). So I built out the pattern, clipping all the pieces together, and quickly realized there was absolutely no way that this was going to get affixed to the ceiling as a built unit: Far too flimsy, AND what stopped the project completely at this point. Following the instructions, once you've put it all together, before you lift it into place, you are supposed to test the unit. If you've watched the video, seen some photos, they indicate that you simply plug the power cable into a (not included) end capped component. But the manual (see photo) has a "remark" at this point: A single line of text that says "Please install by professional electrician". Odd statement, so I pulled out the power cable (see photo w/ manual) to discover that it's an unfinished cable. At this point, I'm either going to have to figure out a workaround myself, or my 'good price purchase' is going to turn into a +$400 project that requires an electrician. Also, my 45 minutes of puzzle piecing the shape of my new garage light, is going to turn into a multi hour installation. So to keep things moving along, I grabbed an old computer power cable (good thing I'm somewhat of a cable hoarder), grabbed a voltage meter, some wire clippers, and electrical tape; and made myself a 'pluggable' cable. I actually have a ceiling outlet, so this ultimately would work. Voila, the lights on the floor lit up... BUT when I went to find the 'remote' to test turning them on and off - nothing in the box. Ignoring the fact that I'm now missing the end-cap for the powered plug and the remote control to turn lights on and off, I needed to move forward to get this 12' x 4' light pattern lifted to the ceiling and off my floor. And this is where things stop again. There is absolutely no way, although plenty light enough, that this wobbly-bendy-flexible lighting unit can be lifted and somehow attached to a ceiling. I had to disassemble into smaller sections and chose to use the hanging cables. Making sure that everything held square was a chore... lift to the ceiling, align the screw hole, tap the drywall, place screw plug in hole, screw in the cable hanging mount, run the cable through the second half of the hanging mount, guide the cable through the ceiling attached mount and screw the second half to the mount, then screw the dangling cable through the lights screw hole, and repeat. Once the first section of lights are in place, attach the next section, and so on... This was a seven hour project that isn't completely done, but I can see how it will ultimately look great, but does not work as the promotional materials insinuated... and certainly says nothing about having to work with an electrician.
