My last utility heater died after 8 years, so I went hunting for another. I did not want a radiant heater, as they do not push the air around. Utility heaters seem to be being phased out to ceramic heaters. I wanted one with a decent fan to push the hot air into the zone I want to warm up. So I gambled and bought this when it had no reviews. I'm really surprised the fan is so powerful for a little unit, while being quiet. The whole unit feels solid and strong and very well-made. I expected cheap Chinese quality, and it probably is made in China, but the quantity is solid. I have never liked the thermostats that are built into a utility heater, so I use my own thermostat, which is super accurate and will handle both an AC unit and heater simultaneously. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KMA6EAM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 So I can't tell you how well the thermostat works in this unit. I'm surprised this new plastic unit is much heavier than my old metal one. This one just feels so solid, I love it. The dial knobs are large and have no wiggle, and when you turn them there is good resistance, and they click in place to your setting and there is no confusion whether you changed it or not.
