This device is small, and compact but very powerful and easy to use. It comes in handy-and gives you peace of mind in instances when you might feel like someone is watching or tracking you. Also useful for vacation rentals - you never know nowadays. Better safe than sorry. One of the aspects I liked most is its ability to detect both hidden cameras and tracking devices using RF signals. With the push of a button, it emits a light signal or vibration if it detects something suspicious, which gave me peace of mind on more than one occasion. It does have good sensitivity, but please note to remember that if you have an Apple Watch, wifi vacuum, Alexa, or any other device with wifi smart features in the vicinity, you will need to unplug or remove them from the room you are testing. I put it against the bottom of my ceiling fan housing in the Wifi bug/camera detection, sensitivity 1, and the device was alarming at 5. I think the device is sensing the fan motor windings (magnetic), as the housing bottom cover has 20 steps and is troublesome to remove, and there are easier places to put a bug. Read more
Bought on a whim for cheap. Unsure how to use the IR detector. I was unsure what I was supposed to be looking for with the “IR detector. It can be a bit loud when detecting radio signals (mainly wifi, so 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz) depending in how strong the signal is. After playing around with it, realized my smartphone has some apps that can detect wifi signals. Also using my phone’s camera, I can detect IR lights from hidden cams (google it). Read more
