I put 5 of these lights up in a 36x40 garage with 12 foot sidewalls. They are very bright and light the garage up very well. I did not hard wire them but rather used the plug for power which will allow for easy replacement if I have a problem with one. The size appropriate for my needs. I bought 4 in sept. and 6 more last month for my barn, currently housing silkie chickens. We only have a 60 amp breaker which constantly tripped last winter due to de-icers, 6 reg lights, and a couple of heated brooders. We hung some of them lower to the ground using chain to provide a little heat, and some replaced ceiling outlets. I’m sure our barn can be seen from outer space! They are bright! 😂 we placed the waterers near the lower lights. Temp went down to 12 degrees last week. Barn was nice and warm compared to outside, and not a single waterer froze. Outlets haven’t tripped once, even when I plug in my MacBook. The birds are definitely happier and more active. Our electric bill for the barn was cut by more than half this month, despite keeping 6 of them on 24/7 when it’s cold, and having twice the amount of light fixtures.
